Understandable . The good thing is the ipv2 has a 12 month warranty. I don't smoke cigarettes and really on vape on the weekends, for fun. I just got into this hobby for fun, I didn't smoke cigarettes , so living without a device is no biggie for me.

Then why are you trying to apply your lifestyle to us in a condescending fashion?

I have backups for my backups for my backups.

I use mech mods primarily.
I have 4 mechs. 1 VW. One ego. Cigalikes from when I started vaping. I have 4 tanks and at least as many drippers. Not to mention all the other stuff I have gone thru like vivinova, ego-c system, cartos etc

Point is, backups are good, in case something gets lost/broken. Beyond this, variety is the spice of life. And keeps many vapers motivated in their vaping.

My advice? Keep em both and get a third. But that's me.

So I know everyone is different but I'm on the fence about something and was hoping you could help me in my decision.

So, I have the VTR currently and love it. I recently bought the ipv2, that should be here Monday, because I wanted a device I could drip with and use tanks. Instead of having a mech mod and a VW/VV mod, I figured the ipv2 would allow me to sell my VTR and just use the ipv2 for whatever I wanted to vape.

So now that I'm thinking of it, I love my VTR and it's been awesome, and I would love to keep it. But.... Why keep it when the ipv2 can do both and much more than the VTR? I know some people like to collect but doesn't it just generally turn out to using your favorite device and let the other ones sit there? Why not get the money for my VTR and use it for something else. Do I make sense? What do you think?

I just don't see the point, in my certain situation, to have a second device when my new device can do it all, why use the VTR when I have the ipv2 now?

Understand but as my previous posts says, I only vape on the weekends, for fun.... You might have overlooked it...
And you might have overlooked sharing that important tidbit with everyone in your original post. :) Surely you know that you're probably a vaping anomaly. Most of us vape full time.

If you can go 5 straight days without nicotine then you don't need a backup. Hell, I don't know why you even need a primary. Were it me I'd just give it all up and find something better to do on the weekends. But that's just me. :)

I understand your point but I enjoy tasting the many flavors available. I don't understand why so many people dislike me doing it for fun. I enjoy just as much as anyone else, why should I be looked down upon because I don't need the nicotine ?

wrice4, better for you to vape than smoke, so good on you for that choice. As an ex 2.5PAD smoker I would rather see a casual, occasional type person vape than smoke. I also see that you are keeping both devices, your choice. If you ever do decide to sell one, one thing to consider is that you may be helping an ex smoker step up their game vape wise, so this would be a positive action you could be a small part of. Vape on :vapor::2cool:

Well, I feel this thread is very long for a simple question, but since no one else has said it I will add my opinion ;)

I have a few different devices, but I Vape only, no regular cigarettes- but I keep different mods/tanks for a few reasons.

1. I keep my nice pricey stuff at home and take my lower quality items for taking with me when I hang out with friends. That way if it drops or gets scratched. I don't have to have a panic attack in front of my bros :)

2. I use box mods with built in lipos so no replaceable battery. I always leave one charged so I can grab one and go. Same with tanks, always keep one full just on case I have to leave quickly.

3. Sometimes I do t feel like lugging around my bigger box mod, so ill take my smaller OpusDNA which is very pocketable- or my 14500 Bagua mech and Kayfun mini, which will both fit in a change/lighter pocket of a pair of jeans.

Now, on all fairness one device is plenty for alot of people. But, in my opinion there are different situations for different mods. If I was out drinking and accidentally dropped a $250+ device I would feel pretty bad. Now a $20 clone? No biggie. Just my opinion though.

I think vaping is cool too, and I also think it's awesome that you only vape for the pleasure of vaping, rather than just to get free of cigarettes. I wish there were a lot more like you. I smoked for 30 years and discovered vaping only when I was at the blood clotting, teeth falling out, hospitalized in the ICU, time to stop smoking or die stage. Vaping saved my life, and I think for many of us that's what vaping is for, which is why some might give you a hard time about it. But it's a pleasure just like smoking was, and I don't see any reason why it can't be enjoyed by the people who need it and the people who don't, equally. If anyone gives you a hard time about it, remind them that more vapers means fewer people fighting against vaping.
