dude diet coke (all sodas actually ) is a diuretic...just saying,,,

Yeah, this is what I thought. I'm a diet coke addict and trying to trade it off for more water. I notice the diuretic effects in the morning. Wake up thirsty, drink a diet coke and am more thirsty on the drive to work. So now it's only water in the am - wish i could make it water only all day with all of the additives in diet soda.

Yes, they will both dehydrate you.

PG can metabolize into lactic acid (it's part of the reason I avoid it, I create enough lactic acid skating). VG is a different substance and metabolizes differently; it can metabolize into glucose.

"Can" is the important word in both those sentences. Not all the PG/VG you inhale can or will be metabolized, some of it is exhaled out. I would imagine the manner in which you inhale and how long you hold your vapor would make a difference.

Thanks. I saw you mentioned both in your first post but then all others just mentioned PG. So I wasn't sure if you were making a more general statement. Sounds like they both have effects but PG more so. Either way, drink water and I can't go wrong. :toast:

B4 vaping I never really drank anything at all, and when I did drink, it was a can of soda.
I had 2, maybe 3 cans of soda a day and that was all I drank each day for years.
I almost never drank water. Now I TRY to drink more water but its torture for me.
Its not the taste, its the "gravity" its the FEELING of the water, its way too light.
It almost makes me gag just thinking about it. So since vaping I've been drinking sugar water.
I keep a bowl of sugar by the sink and drop a spoonful into a glass of water every 4-5 hours.

Good info here!

I notice that taking even one sip of diet soda (or anything loaded with aspartame) causes immediate dry mouth for me. Any saliva I might've had turns to paste lol. Not sure why, just an observation and therefore something I avoid.

Dry mouth also occurs, for me, when vaping higher PG content eliquids.

I used to drink about 6 glasses of water a day because it seemed a healthy thing to do. Since I started vaping, I now drink about 6 gallons (well not quite 6, but seems like it when my eyeballs start floating as I'm running to the bathroom lol

I would Quit drinking Diet Soda just for the Aspartame.

That stuff is an Abomination in my mind.
