I see lots of people naming off all kinds a mods I have no clue exactly what they look like etc.. If guys looking for something durable I'm sure he's like a pic of it to examine plus it is new members forum and no not everyone knows everything about vaping just cause they join a forum lmao cmon man
Point taken well here's a pic of the eleaf basic and you can se why i say its indestructible. Its a aluminum housing that even covers the tank. Idk how you could break it without a hammer and for 20$ who cares if you do.

I do sub ohm...I use a TFV4 with the dual rba at .5 ohms....love it. I DIY my juices at 50/50 6 mg nic as a base.
Nice i diy juice also cant beat it! And i was really close on getting the tfv4 when it came out. But i knew i would only use it for building so i went with the bellus. Still my fav tank even after getting the crius.

Imho the TFV4 is an awesome tank...well worth the money, but it's not what this guys looking for...I listen to the same music but I don't take my vape.
I won a reaper plus from heaven gifts and might give the tfv4 a run for its money just saying. But like i've said be4 an rba will never beat an rta. Getting a rba just to build is like saying i want a truck. Than you buy an el camino and expect it to be as good as a truck. Lol

If you can tolerate 15W, at least while getting rowdy at music festivals, look into an Innokin VTR. It's a hunk of steel that will take more of a beating than you - or any other metalhead - can throw at it. I hacked off the tank/"beauty" ring so that a steel Kayfun V1 could sit in its place with no extension and that was the most durable setups I've ever owned.

As for light & powerful mods for work, there are countless setups out there now to choose from. 2 18650's will last most people at least a day of fairly heavy use. Some mods incorporate 3 18650's now. If you're not sub-ohming and keeping your wattage at reasonable levels, there's no reason a 5ml tank can't last you a work day. Even if it doesn't last, carrying around an extra 15ml bottle in your pocket isn't going to add any noticeable weight.

And, like others have mentioned, vaping may just not be for you. Especially if you're convincing yourself that cigarettes are a more rational option for getting your nic fix. I tried all the cessation methods you mentioned, too. None of them worked. With the exception of vaping, that is. See if you can make it past the three month mark. Then the six. Year. And so on. I've slipped and bummed a cigarette from friends on very rare occasions. I can't stand their taste now, or their smell. They simply revolt me now and that's very convenient for me, as I have no intentions on ever picking the disgusting habit back up again.

The VTR's were selling for $29.95 awhile ago at some vendors , Innokin is working on a new VTR , don't know when they will release it though . Smaller with more wattage .

Innokin makes the best mods in the biz imo and i have used mods from Joytech, P4U, Sig etc... they are absolute tanks and have top shelf build and their engineering expertise is on another level from most other manufacturers in my experience.

Was an electronic tech for 35 years so i should know.

I'm at a loss on this one, if you haven't been able to quit with what's available in today's vapeworld then you just don't want to quit...JMO

I smoked for double the length of time you did, 1.5 packs a day at least...4.5 years ago I bought my first ecig with some 24mg juice, it was a GreenSmoke cig-alike, the day it showed up I never touched another cig, I was ready to quit...I don't think you are, sorry to say.

Good luck

Same here Trusound. I had given up on getting off of cigs. Was just going to smoke till I died.
Wife got me a cigalike kit and within a week no more cigs and not a one since.
And I knew absolutely nothing about ecigs at the time. Did a lot of fast research on the net though and was doing diy within a month.

I paid well-over $100 for my VTR when it was relatively new on the market. I've no regrets as it was honestly one of the best built mods I've ever owned. Still have it sitting on a shelf. I occasionally lend it to friends/family wanting to try vaping for the first time, knowing that there's probably nothing they could do to kill it. I couldn't!

I'd gladly pay the same for an updated VTR with more wattage and TC as long as the build quality remains the same.

Quit trying to quit...... That's how I quit smoking, after supporting Phillip Morris for 40 years.

Here's what I did..

Started vaping..... Note I dod not even try to stop smoking. Then one day about 6 months later.... I realized I hadn't had a cigarette in about a month. Sooo.. I Lit one of the wife's. Guess what it tasted horrible. So, 1 year later I only vape, now. The "habit" IMO has not changed.. I just don't smoke anymore.

I think it will be priced under $100.00 for sure and i know there are a ton of VTR fans out there. The build quality will definitely not disappoint .

That's my story Robert, except it was my son who introduced me to ecigs. I had no clue this technology existed. I had smoked 55 years and I was sick of it. I hated the smell, coughing my lungs out day and night, never being able to laugh without it ending in a cough. The first two days I only smoked two cigs and then no more!! A week later I decided to go on the deck and smoke a regular cigarette just to see if it still was good. I was, but I decided I didn't need it anymore :) I liked vaping better. It tasted better, didn't make me and my house and car stink and was certainly better for my health since a half week into it, I stopped coughing. I also think that the people who think ecigs can't get them off cigarettes are not ready to quit. I think it was the best decision for me or probably by now I would have not been breathing anymore. First week of Feb will be 3 years for me without cigarettes!

So first issue convenience.

Convenience depends on assessbility and can also be a mind construct.

I live 30 miles R/T from civilization (any kind of store whatsoever) so smoking was pretty *inconvenient* when I ran out, and tornado sirens and flash floods were predicted for that day when I woke up w/out any cigs. :)

COPD, lung cancer, etc. aren't convenient. Any kind of lung disease will consume a heck of a lot of your time, energy, and schedule.

My other issue is durability.

find a mod where the tank/delivery device is "inside" the mod, all one piece. Not hanging off a 510 connection. Joyetech egrip would be an example but there are many others. Billet Box, etc. chels, etc.

If you are losing a mod to damage then resign yourself to buying cheap mods and delivery devices and just keeping them a few months.

Look, to quit smoking you have to make a commitment to doing that. It's not always easy for everyone. It depends how much and how badly you want to quit.

I decided to go home on a friday w/ no cigs, and promised I wouldn't drive 30 miles R/T to town until Monday.

By Monday, I was vaping full time. :)

You may want to pick up a copy of Allen Carr's The Easy Way to Quit Smoking and just start reading it while you are still smoking. It preps your mind .... it's not full of scare tactics or any of the usual garbage. you will experience a very SUBTLE psychological shift while reading the book. :) Amazon, probalby $5 or so
