Why is it so harsh dual coil

basically i got a kanger subtank mini and this juice tastes sweet in that

But i just got and build a goblin rta dual coil 10 wraps 0.4 ohm 26 gauge @30w it tastes harsh compared to the subtank the throat hit is almost unbearable after a 1 second drag
Why is this
Is it because 2 coils?

did you dryburn the coil? maybe it has a hotspot/hotleg

If I had to guess without seeing it in person:

You have either a hot leg or you don't have enough cotton and a portion of the coil is heating up when you inhale.

Dual coils vs. single coils don't affect harshness from my experience.

I did dry burn it and checked if they were both glowing from inside out which they were

Glowing from the inside out is a good thing but my question is are they heating up evenly as well or does one start to glow faster than the other?

You could try mixing your juice 50 50 with glycerin . This helped with my 36 watt mod with a 0.5 ohm dual coil. Before I did this it was far too harsh.

those numbers are not working on steam engine; at 2.5mm
are you using nichrome?

Something isn't right because I'm thinking your resistance should be more like 0.6 ohm.

Is one of your coils touching the chimney or something?

What would you recomnend how many wraps on 26 gauge

I can tell you what the problem is. Yes, your coils are too big, and one of them is touching something. The Goblin has a really small deck. I didn't read the first post well to see if you were using an RTA.

Is 26 all you have? Try 8 wraps for a better fit. If you want a higher resistance, try 28g.

Make sure you check the resistance both before and after you put the chimney on. If it changes, you need to get those coils positioned right so they aren't touching the chimney.

That's strange. I get .46 ohm 2.5 mm using 26 awg. Are you using Kanthal ? 7 wraps.
