New to DIY flavors and this question and answer is probably on here somewhere 200 times but a search did not come up with it...so.
I want to order some 38mg nicotine but it ask me to choose the mix base before I can add to cart.
Why do I have to choose a base mix of PV or VG?
Stupid question I know but one that have not found an answer to!!

Thanks for any response!

This is done because the nicotine solution needs to be diluted into an amount per ml of your choosing before you can mix it in with your vg/pg base of choice along with your flavors. If you ordered pure nicotine concentrate then you'd have to dilute it yourself in PG or VG, so them offering this option removes a needless step. I recommend going with 100% PG for the nicotine solution unless your goal is high VG juices, as PG retains nicotine longer than VG.

Thanks for your response wasteyrself...
Well, my goal is to have a 60/40 mix of either PG/VG or VG/PG....but will be tinkering with the % as with the flavors and nic levels.
So you would suggest the 100mg nicotine with the PG base...I could go with that!!

Thanks again for your response!!

I just did the math in my DIY juice calculator, and you'd definitely be able to do 60/40 in either direction with a 100% PG nicotine base. You'll run into issues when you want to have above 76% VG though.

Yeah, I've ran the numbers as well and found I could hit most every % either way with varying % of nic.....

Thanks again!!

It depends on the final MG level you want to vape and the concentration of VG to PG you want to vape.

Yeah..the wife is doing 6mg nic....and a PG/VG at 60/40 now and I am going to be doing 0mg nic and will be looking for my PG/VG all along the way....just gonna have fun on the ride!!!

If I had a dollar for every vaper I knew that started by saying "I'll save so much money!" I'd probably have enough money to buy some ridiculous luxury mod.

Hahaha...yeah...well..if you get set up proper...that is DIY flavors and RDA/RTAs and use some common sense and self control....yeah right...then you might save some money in the long run!!! MIGHT!!

My wife...who got all this started because she's the one who smoked...she just wanted to try an e-cig and we just happen to see a VUSE ad on TV and that sparked it...so I went down the street to the gas station and picked one up...and she liked it...did pretty good....but....after our neighbor/friends came over and we had a vape party with many of his mods and flavors....well..that did it. I was at the vape shop where he works and picked up a HANA clone and Kanger Genitank Mega and a few flaovrs....2 weeks later I went by and picked up a little Vision Spinner II with a Kanger Genitank Mini for her to take out and to use when she wants to be a little less conspicuous....but now shes using it while vaping in the recliner watching tv or sitting on the computer cause she's found out how nice it is to be able to change flavors by just picking up the other mod....hahaaha...so now we've moved to the discussion of having a few more tanks loaded with her favorite juices so it would be a matter of just changing tanks....soooooo...now I have to look at RTAs, coil building supplies, and I had to have a mod for myself.....and..well...you know where this is going!!

But that what its all about....doing something a lot more healthy and enjoying it more!!!

Have a happy vape on me!!

The cost of analogs for the past 6 weeks would have been about $400. $42 new MVP 2.0, $40 (2) Kanger Aerotank mini's. $20 coils. About $70 on juice. I figure I'm way ahead already. :vapor:
