I'm sort of new to the world of rda's, so I'm probably missing something. So far I've had a .4 ohm dual coil on my Mutation X, and the drip tip got incredibly hot after a few vapes. Now I'm rocking a .2 ohm dual coil, and it's even hotter. I got someone at a shop to build it for me to see if they could see what was wrong. But I have all the air flow holes open, and this thing has airflow like CRAZY. Any idea why the hell it's getting so hot? Should I invest in a drip tip that's not made of metal? If so, what kind should I get? Preferably a wide bore one, I like those airy draws and big clouds.

Edit: This is all off of a regulated sigelei 100w, even at 30w it still gets hot.

It's getting really hot because the vapor coming through it is also getting really hot. No secret, and it has nothing to do with your build. It's just science. (And the .2).

Yep, you should invest in a new tip. I would recommend either delrin, or delrin insulated. Lots of them out there! ;). Look for wide bore, or friction fit.

One last question. How hard are you hitting? At .2 ohms you're dealing with a LOT of heat from the coil. Make sure the air holes are aligned with your coils. At that low, draw HARD and FAST. Hit it like a clearo and you're going to burn your lips.

I feel the same way, veterans. They come in droves. We can only do our best to help.

Doesn't matter if it's a mech or a regulated mod, 30 watts an inch from your face is mucho power.

I use ceramic drip tips and I don't even use those low ohm coils; right now I'm vaping a 4 ohm coil on my igo-w3 on a vamo.

Politeness prevents me from posting my true thoughts but if I may make a suggestion OP.

Construct a 1.5 ohm build and then adjust your variable power to obtain vaping satisfaction. There absolutely no need whatsoever to build sub-ohm coils with a 100w device.

Although I agree with the sentiment that a new user should start out more conservatively than the OP, some of the high wattage mods actually require fairly low ohms to hit 100 watts due to voltage limitations.
