Running your battery in reverse is not safe at all , if anything gets passed the plastic wrapper and you hit the button its a instant short . As for why its hitting harder I have no idea

GG is mechanical mod. The reverse battery does not pose safe issues, the only thing matters here is to complete the circuit and fire up the atomizer.
As for the OP's question I think that in your case the reversed battery has better contact than the normal. If you insert the battery normal but the contact is not good it will be more difficult for the current to pass and you will feel that as a bit lower voltage on you atomizer, i.e. as if your battery is not fully charged.

Supa, same can happen if battery is putted in the usual way. So I dont think there is a problem putting battery in reverse.

Imeo the only reason its assumed to be safer is because of the ffollowing scenario. If you have the battery reversed as supa said and the battery jacket gets torn, you will get a very hard short with no load. If you put it the usual way, the short will happen even without pressing the button but with a load and your coil might save you by popping and opens the circuit. However as I said the reverse way it is hard but fastly detectable since only happens when you press the button. So each method has pros and cons.

Your a very smart guy imeo but I respectfully disagree my friend . the whole shell of a battery is negative and even with the wrapper removed with the positive pointing towards atomizer it should not short, it will just fire none stop without pushing button ( I don't recommend anyone try this ) . in reverse its a different , basically a hard short because none of the current will go threw the atomizer causing battery to fail . How dangerous is dependent on what type of battery your using . It should be noted that this is relative to all metal mods .

Its obvious that you are right supa as I said to aal too:)
When you said plastic wrapper, I thought you were talking about plastic GGTS insulator between venting cap and axis. lol
