Helen,
How's your atty's doing????

The 302's I got at the last meeting have converted me. I have to use them with adapters so they won't short out, but I have dropped my 510s and 801s in a drawer as back up. I sure hope Chad is going to being a sh... err a lot to the meeting cause I want more.... more.... more I tell you.. MORE!!!!!!

What's the diff between a 302 and a 510 atty?

I think I like coffee too much to like any coffee vapes. I've tried a few and so far they've all been pretty bad.

I've got 9 flavors coming from Viking Vapor soon. I wanted to get away from mix to order juices but the reviews for these are great and he sells 7.5ml bottles for $2.95. So doesn't hurt to give them a try. If they're good, I'll bring them out to the meet for people to sample. If they're too good, maybe not. :p

Hiya UD. The 302 is a penstyle (like 801) with a low thick bridge in the atty. Awesome vaping on these.

Coffee is an all day thing for me, and coffee liquids generally suck these days. Long gone are good ones. Take heart though, there IS one out there and it'll be available about the 22nd!! It is from Eric at VaporStation! Called Cafe Sumatra and his liquids are made in India, not China. It is DEVINE stuff (all his liquids are good... but this one is special!). I'll bring along my little sample of it.

Good deal on those liquids you bought and they look interesting! By any chance did you get the Hickory? I'll look for ya to check them out. Just got in some new stuff myself and have an order in at MadVapes for Grandpa's Mix, Smooth Ginger (love Halo Smooth 8... so if anyone has it for trade/sale, LMK!!) and Cinnabiscus (cinnamon/hybiscus). Sounded yummy... so I decided to get it when I bought some of his 18350 Li-Ion batteries for my Little Chucks and SparkPlug.

GLV 5v which is a 801. But the 302 shorts out attached straight to the GLV. So I use a 801/510 adapter to a 510/801 adapter and screw the 302 on to that, then no shorting out. Vaps like a houseafire!

Also use it on my Silver Bullett which is a 510. Again use a 510/801 adapter and mad vapor.

Just tried the Cinibiscus and Grandpaws Mix from mad vapes. Cinibiscus is quite good. A little floral but without being perfumy. Its tasty for sure. Gpaws mix is odd. Not what I expected from the name. Best description for my tongue is an old fashioned fruity gum.

What do you think Hellen?

Just got mine last night. LOVE love LoVe the Cinnibiscus!!! I'm sure I'll be ordering more (and Hoog at Mad Vapes did a really nice thing... sent me a bottle of Zero nic Cinnabiscus and Zero of Grandpa's Mix since all they had in stock was 24mg and I really only wanted 18!).

Grandpa's Mix is weird!! First vape, gummy sweet, next one pine floor cleaner, next one Kiwi fruit... wtf!!! LOL. Not too sure about it yet.

I also got the Smooth Ginger. WHEW, strong stuff, so I'll be mixing that way down (was hoping it would be like Halo's Smooth 8... it isn't, sighhh).

@ UD - what is up with your 510? That thing should be rockin'!! Is it the battery life or cartridge size that's got you flustered? Ya really gotta keep a drop going on the bridge of these to make them kick. The 302 is a larger cartridge since it is a penstyle atty (works on 801/penstyle gear). It has it's problems too (floods so has to be blown out often, also leaks at battery end). Does last way longer than a 510 (I use the AquaClear foam in it which really helps and in the 510 too).

I get the carto frustration... they weren't for me. I need more vapor than they produce. Sucky.

LMK if you need some help with the 510!!

I'm pretty frustrated with just about every aspect of ecigs.

510 carts are tiny and randomly decide to spill a bunch of liquid through the atomizer. After using some cartomizers I realize the 510 is really cooking some flavors. TV German Chocolate Cake is a perfect example. After using a cartomizer for it I realize that the 510 is giving it a burnt taste. Tastes much better in a cartomizer.

Cartomizers are frustrating because they're just ......ed to fill. I'd never had the juice in mouth problem with the 510. Happens all the time with cartomizers. Those cautious first few puffs on a freshly filled cartomizer... ugg.

Liquids... F liquids. They all suck. I've spent at least $200 on different liquids since December. I have bottles all over my desk. You finally find something you like and then on the next order it changes or you change. I have 10oz of atomic fireball that I can't vape.

Throat hit is an illusion. No clue what's wrong with me. I don't get throat hit.. from anything. I'm planning on adding capsaicin to my juices ffs.

Tho I recently discovered that using the cap filling method from the battery side is much more consistent and far less prone to juice in mouth syndrome. Wiping out the battery connector sucks but I'm getting way way more juice in there then when filling from the mouth side. Literally twice as much. I just pop the mouth piece off so I can see how saturated the filler is getting.

Have you tried the cartomizers Chad sells? I've been using them for almost a month now I think. I just tried going back to my 510 atomizers and I can't do it. The flavor from the 510 is nothing compared to these cartomizers. And imho the vapor from them is on par with the 510.

I think the big downside to them is going to be their usable lifespan. At least with the juices I've been using they seem like they're going to be short lived. I've taken a couple apart now to check them out. What I'm finding isn't burnt filler, it's lots of carbonized juice on the coil and in the coil wrap. Clumps of it. And it gets embedded in the wrap. I think this accounts for many of the "Burnt cartomizer zomg!" pics I've seen posted. Anyhow I think the most likely way to avoid it is going to be constant cleaning after every second or third refil. Even with that it will probably require some high pressure water to actually dislodge and remove the clumps of carbon. And that is too much work for me. So I dunno what I'm gonna do at this point.

I agree with your thoughts on Chads new cartos. Great flavor and more vapor than other cartomizers I have tried.

For the price, they are hard to beat.

I don't bother to clean them as the cost so much less than a standard atty, and they still hold up well.

Highly recommend trying them, if you haven't already.

Sometimes I forget that I am a really light user and don't always relate to the same level.

I generally have at least 4 PVs set up, along with the fact that I still smoke my pipes, so none of them get really heavy use.

I have only tossed two of the cartos, in 1 1/2 months and have gone through the same number of 510s. Using both about equally, so figure I am still way ahead of the game with the cost of the cartos. (And honestly like the flavor better.)

Later
Bob

Tossing them after a few refills would get too expensive for me. The main reason I switched to vaping was to save a couple hundred bucks a month. Not so much for the health benefits. :)
If I can't come up with a reasonable way to keep them free of the carbon buildup I'll have to just deal with atomizers.
