I have been vaping for 10 months and every clearomizer I try including the Vivi nova tastes burnt to me even at 3.2 volts on an ego batt. My best friend can try the same thing and it tastes fine to her. I am betting that the last thing that worked out for you was a cartomizer. I use 3 ohm cartomizers on a VV device. Try that out. LR stuff will burn at even a slightly high voltage for me but 3.0 does good up to about 5.5 volts. You can try a few cartomizers for pretty cheap. I hope this helps. I had a lot of trouble in the beginning too.

Well, I think you should stop buying things, find someone locally to speak to in person, show them what you are doing and show them what you have already bought and go from there. Battery settings may be off, cartridges may be filled improperly, your taste buds could be fried, the juice may be crap, or you could just not be happy with the entire vaping process. Cigarette = light, puff, put out, vaping is a huge difference with too many options and variables. I've had a magnificent experience with my eGos, but I have a cousin who can't even figure out how to screw the batter on the setup I gave her - I had to get on Skype to SHOW HER. Everyone will have a different experience, but with everything that you mention, seems like it'd be good to get someone with experience to look at what you have.

Burnt rubber taste is a wicking problem, it is awful I've had it a few times myself now. The Juice isn't supposed to taste like that.

I would skip the Twist for now, and use the smokeless image V2 (it's looks like a standard Ego to me). Stick with the Juice you know and like and concentrate on solving the juice feeding problem.

Most starter kits have a standard Ego battery (about $7), and CE4 Clearomiser - also named stardust (about $4) - this is for a good reason, it's foolproof, cheap and provides a decent vape with little chance of it going wrong.

As suggested elsewhere, any old cheap atty will allow you to drip, this will eliminate any feeding problems and let you know what the juices you have should taste like.

i had the same problems.. i tried to upgrade from a cheap e-cig to an atomizer and ego battery and it as a disaster.. i was really frustrated.. what about pre-filled or blank cartomizers on the battery? i just bought some pre-filled from boge in different flavors to try out. then i dont have to worry about spilling, filling or that burnt taste i had from the atty. honestly the attys i tried did the same thing, burnt gross and plastic tasting so i went back to the cheap cartomizers for now.

I formerly used to be a mistic smoker. I quit smoking for a month using these. But I got tired of charging, and at 15 dollars a package of cartridges, I just didn't see the point.

I started out using the Mistic brand from Walmart but the price for the prefilled carto's is steep. Smokeless Image (volt) sells blank carto's that will work on the Mistic batts, they wont thread on all the way but will still fire. Pick some up and you be surpised to find out what your juice really tastes like. I did it this way to get me by until i got my eGo kit and it worked out really well.

For the eGo get some mega dual coil cartomizers at madvapes Black 1.5 Ohm eGo Mega Dual Coil Short Cartomizer they are the best thing i have used on my eGo. They hold 4-5 ml of juice and dont need to be topped off as often. Mine is a standard eGo but they should work fine on your twist at the lowest setting.

I have some Phoenix bottom coils, although i was happy with the performance i did not prefer the syringe fill method. One thing i found with them is they can be used to drip. Remove the top plug that the syringe goes through and the center post/air tube. Drip a couple drops in the center and vape. I use the ones i have left to sample new juices.

You bought great equipment, You are just at the spot I was last week. I was suffering from the same problem, everything tasted bad. I would try the following to start; get this at Smokeless Image Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

you can also try this: Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

These will only work on the V2 as it is threaded 808D-1. you could also just look for an adapter so that you can use the same delivery systems as on your VV, here is an adaptor you can use on the V2 808D to eGo Adapter or this 901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer Adapter
These will give you options for the V2 to buy any delivery system. They aren't expensive.

As for e-liquid flavors, I can't help much. I tried EC blends and they are very good, fast delivery and reasonable. Last thing for you to do is give up. I am 52 years old and I have so many medical problems. If I don't keep vaping up I will probably not make it too many more years. I wish you much luck, keep on trying.

Words of widom, along with finding a B&M for guidance and juice selection pertaining to my style of vaping.

...As to the vaping itself, try and picture dad, grandpop or similar in the garden in his deckchair on a summers day philosophically smoking his pipe. That is press battery button as you bring it to your lips, take a couple of 2-3-4 second inhales (whatever is comfortable), hold in your mouth, savor the flavor, inhale if you wanna, don't if you don't then exhale through the nose (or mouth, personal preference again). Vaping is a longer term experience like a pipe vs, having a quick smoke behind the shed kinda thing. Good luck!

Also, I don't let the tool (atty) get hot.
