I still check the forum from time to time as well.

If I think about vaping a year ago there was a lot of buzz in the media about it and lots of new devices coming out and lots of different vendors popping up.

That initial hype has largely gone! To be honest, I was expecting a LOT more e-smokers out there by now, I found it such an amazing product that I just dont get why more people are not using them, are they exclusively for the tech savy?

I was also half expecting them to have a ban put on them as well, due to an increased uptake but it seems as though ecigs have largely slipped below the radar and are just seem to be resigned to the Verimark product type of status.

Also, when you talk to smokers about them generally, its blah blah dont work blah blah i'll quit when im ready blah blah I dont need any help quitting blah blah etc...

Ah, nice to see some more folks :) I too expected to see more e-smokers by now, but then .... if you think about it, the majority of smoking South African peoples would likely not be remotely interested in them. From those that would be potential converts, more than 'don't work blah blah ... I have received the 'you trust those things! - I heard they were just as bad for you if not worse" etc... comments. I find it interesting to say the least, that people are quite happy to smoke cancer sticks knowing the health risks, while saying that they won't use an e-cig because they heard they were bad for you - lol.
Anyway - perhaps its a good thing for us who have switrched to vaping that it hasn't become more popular ... with a bit of luck they wont get banned or bundled together under the no smoking laws.

I got a lot of that when using the e-cigs, mainly from smokers, non smokers were very enthusiastic about it and very supportive. The thing that really got me is that the people who said the ecig was probably worse for you are the very same ones who did no research into ecigs at all.

I did a lot of research before I started and I just came up with an uninformed opinion that they could not possibly be any worse than smoking conventional cigs.

Still around and busy changing horses for my further vaping journey. My trusty M201 is now obsolete and spares are drying up, so I needed to find another main vape.

Received a few days ago, an eGo 650mAh USB battery and an eGo Mega XL atomiser...... wow, this thing is kicking my ....! :)

I reckon I've found my upgrade path.

Ah Good to see you Doug_Dread. I am loving my eGo:) Haven't tried the mega XL atomizer - am quite happy with the ordinary cartomizers .... got a 900mAh bat and also a usb passthrough bat and am happy as Larry - lol.
BartS - yeah, me too - am feeling much better for the switch :)
Great! :)

Stopped the smoking?

Yup! Stopped the day I got the eGo :) - Its about 5 or 6 weeks now - I did have a siggy thingy but it seems to have mysteriously dissappeared recently.
Congrats!
Yes, my siggy thingy also disappeared. The Forum Admins appear to have set a URL length limit which makes many sigs impossible. I had to change to my current one, which length they still allow. You'll have to make a new one like mine.

Doug - Glad you converted - I got myself the m202 last week, but is still believe the eGo is better. I just wish they made the eGo's button a bit smoother - my thumb/fingers were actually sore last week! (overuse?)
