Help me understand this. Im new to vaping and used to buy clearomizers including the vivinova. I rarely get a good vape from the nova and they seem to have a bad taste while vaping and they dont last very long. Now ive seen vapers here who would even prefer the novas from cartomizers and would rebuild them too. After some bad experiences with clearos and the vivinova I jumped in the rba and rdas and they are ammazing. The rebuilding part is an experience and takes a while but I'm getting the hang of if. Im just curious on why some of the experience members here still use the vivinova or something similar when you have rebuildables for almost the same price.

While I wouldn't call myself experienced, I do love my vivinova. It has a metal tank so I can use any juice, nice warm vape, heads last for weeks with a little maintenance and they are inexpensive.
Add in loads of vapor, nice throat hit, easy to rebuild, and they are a great clearo.

Just to prove each person is different, if I had to take my last vape ever off a pro-tank or a vivi nova, I would pick the vivi nova.

Now RBA / RDA, yeah, sometimes I leave the house and need to just screw a clearo on that is going to last me 8-12 hours with no messing with it. i can't exactly stealth drip...

I dont know, maybe I always get a dud and they seem to crack easily.

The local B&M's really push the ViVis, I believe it is a matter of easy to explain/demo and easy to replace heads. New customers have a very easy setup that gives them flavor. To be fair, it wasn't a bad flavor in my experience.
I thought the SLB clearos were great until I tried T2's were great until I tried T3's were great until I tried a Protank was great until I tried a carto/tank.
Right now I am more concerned with getting my recipes back to where they were right before looking for the next great delivery device, but I am wondering what it might be.

Well I use Vision vivi novas and RBAs - so I appreciate both. Asking why they are popular is asking why lots of people like them. I'm not sure why lots of other people like them, but I like them because they are easy to fill, easy to clean, hold a decent amount of juice, have metal tanks as well, and give me good flavor. I haven't actually bothered rebuilding a vivi nova yet - but will get around to it. I will also add that I've helped on I don't know how many posts because people bought vivi nova knocks offs and then came onto the forum with complaints about them. I use the original Vision vivi novas. Vendors that sell them usually say "Vision vivi nova" on their product page.
Oh yeah - RBAs are good too - but they are not a beginners attachment. They are fiddly, some people find them very difficult to set up, and they need to know what they are doing - research before getting into RBAs.

I think mine is a knock off. The box says blow vivi. i know rba's arent for begginers but I actually managed to get a good build out of 4 tries.

Sounds like a knock off vivi. If in doubt you can always email a vendor and ask if they are Vision. I know Discount Vapers sells both Vision and non-Vision vivi novas and he clearly states which is which on his site. Well done on getting the RBA build. They can be hard and some people get frustrated with them.

I have been using CE5s, Protank and I have one Boge F17 Carto Tank. I just ordered a vivi nova to try it. It should arrive next week. I have read mixed reviews. Some people love them. Others have no end to trouble with them. Then again the same could be said for my CE5s and Protank. I think in the end it is an individual thing. What works for you personally trumps all else.

Yup! We are all different. I don't like ViVi Novas--I prefer bottom coil heads. But that's just me.

And I have absolutely no desire or time to make my own coils. I'm not a tinkerer and I want my coils made for me and ready to go. :D

It doesn't mean anything--that's just my personal preference.

Just use what works for you.

There's a reason that there are so many people making knock-off vivis.
They're easy to use, fill, clean, and rewick. Great for on the go as they last me all day.
I rewick with cotton yarn and they have better flavor than cartos, great vapor, and a nice warm vape. Oh, I can rebuild my heads for 5 cents or less too.
