So currently right now I have a Provari which ive been pretty happy with, but im looking to pick up something else to have as a backup that would be a different vaping experience, I was looking at maybe a mechanical mod, any suggestions? I was looking at either a reo or a silver bullet or similar with a kick. I also am just starting to get into rba's so anything that would work well in my quest to become proficient with rebuildables would be nice also as much as I'm pleased with my provari im getting bored with it and want to experiment with something else

Why does everyone thing that RBAs are only for mechanical mods? I felt much safer putting my first coil on top of my Sigelei Zmax than I would have on a mechanical mod.

This is especially important in cases of using SS Mesh as a wick. It is a conductive material. Why would you not use it with something that has safety features in case of a short when you are first learning? Not to mention that a Provari, or most other VV/VW mods have a resistance reader which will tell you what your resistance is.

You should work on your building techniques before putting an RBA on a mechanical mod. Building something under 1.5 ohms should not be your first project. You are asking for trouble if it is.

I was in the same place you were when I bought a REO. Now all the tube mods are really overpriced ohm meters! I love the taste of fresh juice on a coil that the REO gives you. I love having 6 ml of juice and a big battery when I leave the house so I don't have to carry around a whole lot of "stuff" as backup.

I hope you find something that works as well for you as my REO does for me.

I absolutely agree with Jazzi Mike. A mechanical can be an excellent backup, whether you use an RBA or more conventional juice attachments. I also prefer my AGA-T2's on my Provari. I bought my first with full intentions of using it on my Silver Bullet, but found out that I prefer it on the Provari's instead.

I own a beautiful white with black button Silver Bullet. Silver Bullets are great mods that have stood the test of time and they are nearly as popular today as when they were introduced as the second mass-produced mod ever. But mine is collecting dust. I just prefer using a regulated mod. I'm not going to talk anyone out of purchasing one, though. It's just personal preference.

Personally, I'd get the Reo. It is a mechanical bottom feeder that has stood the test of time just like the Provari and Silver Bullet. You can put a Reomizer RDA on a Reo to get your toes wet with a rebuildable.

appreciate the reply jazzi I was in no way saying I wanted to switch to a mech mod because i was unhappy with my provari im very pleased with it. As far as tinkering with rbas its nice to be able to check my resistance and not have to worry about screwing up my battery I was just looking at getting something new as a backup and something different to tinker with since i already have a vv device I want to try out something a little different to find out what works best for me.
