Why is there a difference?

I just did a experiment for fun to compare anyway long story short the build in my rda is .2 in my hybrid mech acording to ohm law calculator its about 80-88watts just to compare since i dont have another of the same rda i just unscrewed it and put it on a regulated mod now and set it to 80-88watts as well just to compare and see if 80watts is the same on both devices and its not!
I feel like the mech hits a tiny a bit harder how is that possible should be same watts no?,
it could be my brand new batteries(30T) in the mech doing it idk but the batteries(25R) in the regulated mod are only a few months old but
since its the same rda/build and juice i expected similar results they were close but mech def felt like it hit harder/better hard to explain..

Next comparison test will be done using same batteries across both mods

Anyone done something like this before what was your results?

Anyway still love both and use both on the daily was just to compare and a fun thing to do

At an educated guess it may be to do with the chipset accuracy and the internal resistance of the regulated mod.

I'm still trying to work out an idea for discovering the internal resistance on Evolv DNA chipsets, as things are supposed to be a little more convoluted with the C versions and the copper plug for the 510 connector isn't supposed to work properly for it.

Ye some power is lost somwhere slightly kinda make sense since its not direct cuz it goes through a chip and all but i can notice it if you compare

Well there's different ways to do things as always, but certain options that can be better are more costly.

One of the simple parts I'd look at that they can skimp on is the wiring for the 510 connector, getting the cheapest option that's serviceable.

Really don't understand why they don't get all technical German and use overrated quality black wire with shrink wrap for positive connections.

I decided very early on that each device would be best handled if treated independently. I'm a "vape by taste" person, so I never cared all that much about what any screen stated. I find what I like on a device, and the experience rules over the data.

One of my all-time favorite devices didn't even have a screen, yet was an early entry in the VW options (back when 30 watts ruled the world).

If you like it, vape it. If not, change it until you like it (numbers be dayumed).

As promised, jump to about 13:30 in.

That's GREAT!!! Quad, even! :vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor: I like Dave's vids too, jbtw.

I remember when stuff like that were all the rage. Fazed did a bunch along similar lines, and a few others (whose names escape me right now).

The girl... SHAN! Wow. THAT got pulled from the "waybacks". ;)

There were many more too. The DNA20s created a LOT of modders. They were apparently easy to work with (not that I'd ever know). I just vape 'em. :smokie:

Mamu's Denali was one of the few dual batt mods she did, and it was a (comparatively small) dual 18650 (lol). Variable VOLTAGE ("Volts taste better!")

That was just before all the DNA20 mods started coming out, and the radio buttons sealed it for me. It's light and plastic but still works. I break it out every once in a while, just for fun.

Good times.

The good thing about these style of mods is they never really go out of fashion and they're marginally more complex than a mech, so they're so easy to work with.

But you've got to admit @DPLongo22 that the one they have there in the vid is kind of comical, but most importantly it works.

ABSOLUTELY!

I couldn't help but think of this when I saw it. ;)

I wish I could remember that badly done Chinese product video where they're going on about their new mod with massive power, then they burn out the wicking on the atomiser.

It's almost as good as the long gone video of Vaping with Vic trying out the Lost Vape Triade at full power.

Was it possibly this one? Victor talking about "Professional vapers only!" LMAO!!!
