Why is this juice so powerfully numbing

The problem with the terms "all natural/organic" are that natural only implies that it came, supposedly, from all from the source it is meant to taste like, and organic is in relation to how that original, in this case, strawberry was "made"--and "organic" ingredients are qualifiable, so unless people can show proof of that, I'd prefer those terms be used in conjunction with documentation of some sort.

Now, in the case of the eliquid itself, and even more importantly, how those natural/organic flavors were extracted is what may reveal problem is. If they sent you an organic strawberry berry, then it would be one thing, but the strawberry flavor was obtained in some way that I can assume was not "organic." I am venturing a guess, but I think it was a bad extraction that left traces or more of the extraction technique.

If solvent or whatever was used in the extraction method had, in fact, polluted the juice, that may account for the strong chemical overtones.

While that flavorant obviously doesn't work well with your physiology, there may not be anything wrong with it. Without knowing the specifcs about rumors of other complaints about strawberry flavorings, there's no way to tell if there's a link, or whether there are any other complaints about this particular flavorant.

Sending it back to the vendor to test is the best option, and posting here was a good idea, so that if the same thing happens to others there's something to track. Absent other reports it may just be a response that you have (sorry)

I have and I did. They immediately sent me a postage paid return label and issued a 15 ml bonus bottle as well. I have it packaged and ready to go back. Trouble is, no replacement choices were offered so I'm thinking they will send back another 50 ml bottle of same.

Great company though. Surely this is just a fluke and the replacement will be different....?

The key is that they get the e-liquid back.

If for some reason the is a Problem with the Flavoring, and I'm not saying there is or isn't, they should have the bottle so they can figure out what the Problem is.

If this is truly an all natural, organic 100% VG flavorant, just how many manufacturers are there? It's a large juice company, so they have to be buying huge quantities.

Maybe you got a bottle of full strength flavoring instead of eliquid. That might explain the strong chemical taste and perhaps the numbness. Whatever it is, it's certainly potent.

I'm going to try really, really hard not to shout. I mixed 1 drop flavor into 25 drops PG (no nic )

I opened a new atty and primed it. Loaded 4 drops and... it was absolutely delicious. Clean, pure strawberry. Might benefit from a bit of sweetener, but not necessary. NO NUMBNESS. NONE.

Update: After breaking the atty in a bit, I'm finding the flavor to have more of a strawberry kool-aid taste. Pretty good, but not what I would shoot for as best. This is bizarre. 1 drop 100% VG strawberry to 25 drops PG. Not sure about nic, but I'm not feeling headache, nausea, etc so can't be too high.

I keep remembering though-- this stuff turned a 2.5 (near abouts) ml tank of juice into a numbing machine after adding about .5 ml.

This must be too good to be true. I'm gonna put it down and try a bit more in the morning. Bizarre.

It still sounds too good to be true. All I know is that diluted at 25:1, this juice creates a liquid that tastes pretty dang good and does not have the numbing quality. Still...sounds too good to be true. I'm done for the night. <shaking head in bewilderment>

Then I dripped it on an atomizer- oh my- so numbing I was sure I'd have to ER for allergic reaction....

Today, I picked up a tank and after two inhalations, I again went numb.

Your intellectual curiosity is admirable. Your insistence on using a product that numbs your mouth over and over and over again, on the other hand, is... perplexing.

FWIW, my MBV Strawberry juice is and always has been yellow. Same with Liqua Strawberry. The one pinkish strawberry I tried was an utterly nasty Chinese no-name juice in an unlabeled bottle (it had nothing but a sticker saying "Strawberry" on it). I threw this last juice out -- it was wretched.

I would suggest that you still send it back to the company and get the replacement- at the very least let them know the lot number and any information on the bottle so they can track down exactly what happened, so they can make sure it didn't/doesn't happen to anyone else.

Solving a Problem is Great. Putting something in your Body to Test the Solution is kinda where I Draw the Line though.

Sending it back is the correct thing to do. I've already submitted order number and description of problem. The mad scientist in me wants to keep it, but the rational me will send it back. Party over.

I missed where you posted the link to the juice. I'm curious...did you actually purchase flavoring but thought you were purchasing pre-mixed e-juice? Does it have a nic MG on the bottle?
