How do you rewick the T3s?

Yeah, someone mentioned them in post #18 earlier. I usually don't get rid of the bases on mine, I just re-wick and re-coil them.

I was hesitant to try these for a long time because the last bottom coil Kanger clearo I tried, the T0 was so horrible.

I buy stuff from madvapes on an almost weekly basis it seems and I would love to get everything at one place, but for Kangers I usually just go with DiscountVapors. Eric ships much quicker than just about anyone else I've bought from and I've even had him ship stuff on Saturdays if I ordered it early enough.

If I had to make a wild guess as to why MV doesn't stock Kanger items it would be because they seem to have some type of agreement with Vision.

Again, just a guess on my part, but such an agreement could preclude them for stocking Kanger.

Or it could just be that they don't like the way they do business, I don't know.

Does the T3 wick well with 100vg? What tank, cart, ect; you recommend with high vg?

I have one with Alien Visions Massive Chocolate Mint wich is 100% vg and it does fine.

I tried some Heather's Heavenly Vapes Gandolf wich is 100% vg and it also worked fine(but I remembered why I quit buying this juice.)

Pictures would probably be more useful, but I don't have any handy, so here goes-

Pull the center stem loose from the base. Pull the center pin and grommet out of the base with a small pair of needle nose pliers (I have 2 new clean pairs just for e-cig stuff) Remove the wick and coil.

I use USP rolled cotton from CVS Pharmacy to make a fresh wick. Pull some loose, roll it into a thread shape about 2-3 mm( I just eyeball it). Take a few inches of 32 gauge Kanthal (heat it with a lighter to remove oil) and carefully wrap a 5 or 6 wrap coil allowing a bit of slack in the coil for the cotton to swell when wet. You might want to use a large needle or a finishing nail along with the cotton to make it easier to wrap the coil.

Place the wick/coil assembly into the base, passing the extra Kanthal out through the bottom of the base. Slide the insulator into place with one leg of wire between it and the base and the other in the center of the insulator, then insert the center contact. Use a small pair of scissors (cuticle scissors work great) to remove the excess wire. Check the coil wraps to make sure they are evenly spaced.

Replace the center tube, trim any excess cotton protruding from the base, fill and you should be good to go with a new wick and coil around 2.6 to 2.8 ohms. Less wraps would give you lower resistance, but I like around the stock 2.6.

Never dry burn a cotton wick. You won't be able to fix it and it tastes horrible. My cotton wicks last around a week with heavy use. After that they start to fall apart.

Oh yeah, cotton wicks taste a bit funny at first, but then they develop a much cleaner taste than silica, IMHO.

Just a few months back they allowed people to pick up orders from their Cornelius warehouse. They've since moved to Mooresville and do not prefer anyone to go there. I would have said you could ask the big guy, but alas its not a doable deed anymore.

I was just at their store here in Charlotte about 2 hours ago and I asked the manager there why no Kanger stuff and he really couldn't give me an answer. Just basically didn't know a lot about their products and couldn't tell me why they don't carry them. Could be what you said about the favoring certain products though. If Madvapes had Kanger stuff it would take sales away from all the eGo Clearomizer stuff they carry. But then again, eGo is a Joyetech brand and those clearomizers they sell are in no way made by Joyetech so I have no clue what the problem is.

Really? The guy at the Charlotte store "Dave" said his Moorseville store is open to the public. wonder why they would have a store and not want you to go there. Weird.

but the waffle house sells breakfast food! pancakes are breakfast food! (and its 2 am and i got to drunk food!)

i had no idea kangers were so popular, would you guys say that are way better than the vision / stardust clearo's ?

True, very true. I'd have a chat with the manager.

I dunno if they're better as I've never tried a T3 but I've used vision clearos. I like the visions but they don't do 100% VG very well and I'm constantly filling the darn thing. 1.6ml doesn't last long for me at all. Oh, the gurgling and leaking drives me nuts too but that may be my fault as I have a habit of over filling it to try to get a bit more juice in there. Which brings me back to the fact that it only holds 1.6ml. It's a vicious cycle I tell you. I'll be ordering a T3 this week. We'll see how it goes.

As far as I know, there is not a Mooresville store, unless they've open one in the very recent past.

They used to have a couple adjacent warehouse spaces in Cornelius, near 131 Main, but have moved to Commercial Ave in Mooresville. Commercial Ave is a business district that doesn't have any stores per se, rather all commercial warehouses and corporate business.

That said, is Dave the kind of quiet guy with salt'n'pepper hair? If so, he has been over that store for at least a year. He has a lady and another guy that work there too, I believe. The younger guy they had is no longer there.

I have to apologize for not knowing there names, but they haven't been very friendly and open on a social level with me. Just quiet and to the point. Nothing wrong with that, as that's how I am too.

Yep. That's Dave. And the other guys name was Chris who I just found out was fired. He then went to work in the warehouse and got fired from there too. There are a few different girls there now. Ones name is Ashlynn. Just met her this Saturday. There's another with red hair and I don't know her name. Your also correct about Dave's demeanor. Not the social type at all. However, I was there at closing time once and he talked to me quite a bit. Seemed to loosen up a little. Maybe he doesn't like to socialize during work hours. Who knows.

I'm positive he said he has a Mooresville store. Couldn't tell ya where but I know he said its there. I'll try to get some info in it for ya.

Sounds good. I would be willing to give them another shot. MadVapes was my first real vape vendor, so I would like to be loyal.

I didn't want to mention Chris being fired, because I didn't know if he was floating around here too, but yes he was canned. Can't blame them, he was a bit of a jerk. Arguing with people just because they didn't understand this stuff well enough. He didn't wish to educate anyone, just argue.

The red head is the lady I have met many times. She seems very nice.

I am the one that got Dave to carry SunDrop flavor when I was there once. I gave him some and he really liked it. For some reason it doesn't taste the same to me anymore. May be my taste buds have changed, but when I started I thought it was a dead ringer for SD. Its made by another big vendor in Charlotte, but they do not have a storefront.

Yeah. Chris was interesting to say the least. I had no idea he was a jerk until Dave mentioned it this weekend. He was always cordial with me. Oh well. I wish him well wherever he winds up.

No s$@t? You're the one who started the sundrop? I remember him talking to someone about that a while ago when I was there. Peaked my curiosity so I bought some that day. It was good. I'm not really into the sweet juices though so I didn't buy it again but that flavor was spot on. That other vendor...MFS?

Yes! MFS has better juice IMO. Something about MV juices just gets to me. Sometimes they are decent, sometimes they have a soapy taste. Not a fan of soap tasting juice.

Chris.was always nice to me too, but I kind o knew what I was doing and things I wanted to buy.

Now if only MadVapes would get better juice, I would visit them more often.

That was the key. If you went in there and didn't know what you wanted or what you were doing they would run all over you. I hate to say it but I still find I know more about most products than even Dave does. He was using a VAMO when I went in there this weekend and I asked him what wattage he was using and he looked at me like I had three heads. He said, "I dunno. The default." I was like dude......? Haha. I always do my research before I go in there. Hell, I do that with everything. I don't like being taken advantage of.

I'm not a big fan of their juices either. They were the first vendors I've ever come across that make their juices opposite every other vendor with 80%VG and 20%PG. I thought that was kinda weird. I bought their tobacco flavored juice a few times and I swear it tastes like celery. Probably just me though. Ha.

I usually get unflavored nic juice at MFS. Most of my business goes to them. Dustin is a nice guy. However, Not sure if you've been there lately but they've expanded into a connecting building and now it's kinda impersonal if ya get what I mean. Now ya have to go through a receptionist. Not crazy about that. I liked being able to talk to Dustin and sometimes even Chris Yelton himself face to face. I think they're growing faster than they can handle. Good for them though. I guess. I'm gonna give Wizard Labs a try for my next juice order. I hear a lot of good things about them and their prices are pretty comparable.
