Why oh why did I ever start dripping?!

I regret having started dripping. I wish I avoided it and never bought the cheap little squid RBA to try it out.

...

Now I don't find anything else even remotely satisfactory. I started on a pretty generic 808 kit that was overpriced, and it got me off of smoking analogs right from the start. These came with standard sort of cartos, but I pretty quickly switched to small clearos and never went back... so I have a bunch of cartos I gave away. Then I switched to V4L VVs, mostly because I thought I could save a bit of money and keep using the bunches of clearos I had... but decided that was silly to keep sticking to 808, so finally ordered a Vamo and quickly moved to give away those V4L devices. I figured I wanted to avoid plastic, so went to the ProTank to use on my Vamo. I love the ProTank for a lot of reasons, even more so after figuring out how to rebuild them with some help from ECF members. Anyone who's read some of my posts would know I have a problem with most ejuice, I really don't taste much with any of them, it's rare for me to get more than a hint of flavor from anything (thank goodness MBV lets be pump up the amount of flavor dumped into my juice)... but now... Dripping........ WHY DID I HAVE TO TRY?!

I figured if I could rebuild in the tiny space in a ProTank, an RBA would be easy-peasy... and it is... and damnit, it makes everything taste SO much better. I can fine tune the draw, the ohms (a lot more variation here than I can achieve in the ProTank), and get amazing, massive, beautiful clouds of delicious vapor. Dripping is such a PITA... no convenience what so ever, I don't want to have to carry a bottle around with me and drip into a tiny hole... I'm scared now that I may end up with a bottom-feeder, which I don't like the size and shape of just for the sake of being able to get that drip-flavor on the go. I've contemplated looking into some genesis based RBA tanks, but damnit, that means I'll have to get rid of these protanks once I fall in love.

I just switched to a REO Grand. I can taste, but I'm after the best taste. Genisis style atomizers tend to cook the juice in the tank while you're vaping on them. Big flavor loss by the time you're 1/3 through the tank. Anyway; shape was an imagined issue for me too. Once you get a REO (can't speak for other types) into your hands, you're hooked. And they are super pocketable w/ no leaking. Best flavor I've had: all the time, every time. It's like dripping; but, more accurately, its like dripping only 3 drops at a time (freshest flavor).

just because I love wasting money, I ordered one of these to see if I'd really like bottom feeders:
Super T ~ Vapemate
which will be about 10x the ugly of a proper bottom feeder

You'll have to post after you've tried yours for awhile. I have looked at that product many times, but can't get my head around how it works.

I dripped for 2 years and totally ignored everything new between 2010 and 2012 because the flavor on the dripping RBA was OUTSTANDING. It took lots of practice, but now I have equal or better flavor on an AGA-T2+. The key for me was two wicks/coils (and no shorting).

Another great thing is The Diver by Atmistique. It's a rebuildable cartomizer that you drop into just about any tank. It's giving me excellent flavor also, and is a dream to set up.

Dripping gives, FAR AND AWAY the best flavor and vapor production out of every other device. Cartos, clearos, gennies, tanks... they all PALE in comparison to dripping.

RDA's on a mech, set up properly, is simply the BEST vape one will ever experience.

I do very much enjoy the few cheap RDAs I have set up on a K100, the flavor and satisfaction I get from the vape is outstanding, but it's just so impractical ><. WHY CAN'T I HAVE EVERYTHING I WANT?! I'm an american, it's my right :p

I still don't understand people who say dripping is impractical. I work as a fabricator (on my feet, cutting/drilling/welding etc, 7-8 hours a day), and vape/drip ALL day long. Every 15-20 minutes, I take 15 seconds to put a few drops into my RDA. I just keep a 3ml bottle in my pocket with my mod. It's SOOOO easy, I just don't know how people can complain about it, especially considering how much better the vape is.

well, it's not as practical as sticking 2-4 protanks in my pocket and swapping based on whatever flavor I want. I could bring along a few different small bottles of juice, but some juices do not mix will, or if something has some menthol in it it will over-power anything else. So in that sense it's not convenient for me. I don't have an ADV... I get bored fast and switch often. Also seems like there would be a good chance of spilling a bit in my pocket if I just had an RDA on a mod. It's not the most inconvenient thing in the world, but it's not ideal in any way either.

Dripping is a ritual, i like the Smok Tele and 510 bridgeless for dripping, very compact but massive clouds, taste and TH.

Are there any other rebuildable cartos out there? I like the idea of it, but that seems like a lot of money (I'm cheap ><).

edit: Something like that that'd still fit under standard drip shields or inside any tank would be sweet

The flavor only sticks around for a few pulls after you put in a new flavor. I carry about 4 juices on my person or lunch bag, and swap between them all day, without worrying about flavors mingling. I'll swap from a strong tobacco to a fruit, to a bakery/dessert, back to a tobacco, with only a few hits giving a *slight* mixed flavor.

Oooohhh! I feel the same way! I've been a cartotank girl for the last 4 months or so now but I purchased a dripping atty to try out my DIY. And I just got a couple of RDA's based on some recommendations from a couple of friends here. I'm in love! This will be my at home delivery method for sure now!! I still have to work on rebuilding which kinda scares me but this is sooooo good! The flavor is amazing! I think I'm hooked!

Well it's not a rebuildable cartomizer ;) it's a rebuildable tank atomizer. No filler. There are one or two other ones out there, but I sprang for one and the flavor and vapor I get is equal to dripping! Highly recommend it.

Edit... Here is one of those other ones
