By it's very nature, I would think porn tends to prevent them. And when were we richer and stronger? When the age of sexual consent for girls was 10 years old?

Not into porn at all. But to say it's all responsible for sex slavery and rape and abortion is ridiculous.

Just curious where the OP (and other anti-porn posters) stand on the subject of making homemade porn for your partner in a committed relationship. Still technically porn, but couldn't be construed as unfaithfulness no matter how hard you try.

Your flat out wrong. The bible was never the number one book in American classrooms. The only groups to enforce that these days are the Mennonites and Amish. You have to go back to Puritan times to find another group. There has always been the practice that church teaches the bible not the schools unless they were one and the same.

I am seldom wrong. It's always the same cycle: Nations become powerful, they get rich and decedent, then they become full of evil and debauchery, then collapse. God said through King Solomon that there is nothing new under the sun. It's given rise to the adage; those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
The USA is in the " evil & debauchery" phase - next, comes the collapse. And I haven't even mentioned what happens to Christian nations that turn their backs on God. You can find out in Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28.
It was once said of the Rio Grande river that a cannon ball cannot be shot across it; now, you can walk across it in some places... See how many more parallels that you can find concerning the USA in Lev. 26 & Deut. 28.

It depends on your definition of, "committed". It also depends on whether or not you're breaking any other laws.

If you atheists want to worry about a religious group, you better worry about Muslims much more than Christians.

No they won't cut your head off but they have forced people to believe and tortured/killed those that haven't. Look at what the missionaries did to the indians they wanted to convert, Read up on puritan laws for colonial Salam that lead to the witch trials. Look back at the crusades, the fate of the knight templars, The techniques of "putting someone to the question" during the inquisitions. The violence, torture and deaths perpetrated in the name of God under the guise of Christanity is second to none. Not even Islam has surpased Christianity in that arena but they are getting close.
