I know Lily will be OK, she's pretty smart. I think she's going to try a lower nic strength next, but I'll let her speak for herself.

I knew about the nicotine thing mentioned by Darr, but I wasn't feeling cravings like that. What I meant is more like I just could not get a good TH. The TH just would not come thru on any flavor or nic strength or even on a 5 Volt PT. A whole day of not getting the vape TH. Man, weirdness. I'm glad it didn't last. I'm of the opinion that nicotine itself may actually be beneficial, it's just that most ppl think of smoking and nicotine as the same thing. I get more of a nic rush from 4mg nico gum than 18mg vapor, but I'm perfectly content in the nicotine area. The TH is real important at this stage of the game for me. I'm 6 months into this, so I knew to try more PG, more nic and all that, but it just wasn't working. Scared me. lol Skeered me for a whole day.

Something similar happened to me the other morning Max. I chalked it up to seasonal allergies and post nasal drip... vapor doesn't cut through that gunk as well as smoke did. Stoopid allergies.

For some reason it always feels better knowing it happened to someone else as well... lol thanks!

I started at 18mg 2 months ago and have stuck with it. I only order anything stronger if 18 is out of stock. The last time I ordered Cafe Mocha, I ordered 36mg and a matching bottle of 0mg in order to bring it back down...

I haven't felt any real cravings that fall outside of what I've normally come to vape... either I am lucky, or I've just unconsciously chosen a mindset that absolutely prevents me from ever considering an analog again. I have come to absolutely despise with every fiber of my being, anything and everything about analogs... and I'll either vape pg, my juices or nothing than ever go back.

Harmony..In my opinion it's the junk in the cigarettes and the body talking. You are used to the instant relief analogs give you. Vape what you need to curb the cravings and drink some coffee or soda..try to relax and DON'T read the scary stuff.
You will even out over time and your body will ajust to the amt. of nic an e-cig delivers. We are here if you need to vent!
I smoked for 37 years, 2 packs a day and now I don't need much nic..o nic to 11mg a day does it for me.
hang in there! :)

I have open analogs right in front of me. They are my roommates and I have no desire to puff on one. My recipe to success:
first vape of the am: 18 mg
driving to work: 24 mg
at work: 18-24 mg
driving home: 18-mg
afternoon on the PT: 11 mg (sometimes 18 if its a real stressful day)
watching tv before bed: 8mg

When I need throat hit, I go to harsher flavors and the premium juices (even though I prefer VG)....

I have those days where I just can't seem to be satisfied.....I just vape more, higher nic, more PG....and realize it will soon pass.

So IMHO being all over the place is normal (at least for me)....

Well....not much I can really add here for you Harmony....I have levels from 0mg to 24mg.....I am ready to get some higher though to add into the mix.....One more suggestion that may have been mentioned and I just missed it, but when you get that just not satisfied feeling, it may not necessarily be the nic level.....try some harsher flavors....or even a smooth tobacco flavor...I have flavors from about each category...tobacco, fruit, dessert, candy, coffee....and the coffee's seem to have that harder flavor that help sometimes with that craving feel. I switch up alot throughout the day and not just nic levels. Also, the getting sick thing....you are more likely to get a headache before you ever get sick from the nic...feels like, at least for me, caffeine withdrawal....I know if I have not had enough coffee, and if I've had too much nic, I get the same head feeling....I then switch to the lower level or go with 0mg....

Just my 2c based on my personal experience:)

Heres my short story of starting and managing:

Wife bugged me alot to quit as she did cold turkey. Smoked 1 pack a day of "reds". I looked into PV as a way I could do it. Searched here and found what I needed was TH and high Nic. Found reviews of V4L and that was what I was looking for. Ordered the big kit to give me what I needed. Tried to get high nic in something tobacco all sold out. Got a lump in my throat while about to check out. Found the tobacco sample in 24mg. Good enough.

Planned to buy a carton of analogs and "try" vaping then decided to go pack by pack cause a carton was too much.

Was looking forward to getting my PV and that was weird. (usually I dread trying to quit) Knew it was in the mail box so I rushed home to try it. Plugged in the PT and tried the 555. Took a drag and "cough" thats "it". Stronger than a "red"! Took another drag. Excited. Went back to work and thought about coming home to vape more. 3:30pm was my last analog and went home to try the vape more. The rest of the night I vaped. What kept me from smoking analog was I felt like I was high on nic. I thought if I smoked I would feel sick. Was kind of scared to smoke now. Woke up the next day smoked an analog just because I had about 7 analogs left in my pack and I used it as a reward as well as I "heard" it was the hardest time to avoid one.

Next day same, vape all day and afraid to smoke cause of "Nic overdose" (I was telling myself that, I guess it worked) After 3 days or so of the same thing I am not wanting an analog only smoked them because I had them. Kind of stopped by accident smoking analogs. It was not in the plan. I don't crave them I only crave the PV.

Tomorrow I will have no analogs as this morning was the last. Now I don't have the excuse of having them so I smoke them in the morning. I have my new order of WOW carts 24mg and they are WOW. My mission is to do without one in the morning tomorrow and then I will be off them completely.

This is my story and it seemed very easy to me and effortless to switch to PV with V4L. (crossing my fingers for the morning) But I have very high hopes. 24mg seems just right for me at this moment.

Sorry for the long post but I have been wanting to tell my newb story and I thought it was the right place.

Good luck to the OP and hope they level out....

Ches

When I first got an ecig I had just stocked up for the month with tobacco. Bummer. I ended up giving it away.

The first three weeks I used nico gum and snus as I REALLY wanted to quit. Seems the first month was a little weird on my body, but I'd been a heavy smoker for 41 yrs - but after 3 weeks - poof, no more gum or snus. I just sent some gum to Major S. I'd recommend that route if someone is really have trouble with cig urges.
