Why stepping.

Why we should leave mixed nicotine liquid with flavor or 24 to 72 hours. I mixed 2 nictonie juice , one with banana and another with watermelon, I use to decrease nicotine concentration from 45 to 20 using VG and added 15% flavor and 10% did distilled water , I test both of then immediately after mixing, I don't felt strange smell and no flavor, shall it leave for one or tow day? Shall I add lemon juice to enhance flavor?
Please any advice will highly appreciated.

from what i have read diyers do steep their juice

Steeping allows the flavors to "mend" it effects all juice differently. If there is an alcohol based ingredient like PGA or tobacco absolute steeping is a must. Most juice will improve with a little resting.

I read many forums about mixing but I got confused because I felt that everyone have his own way do his juice. Then I would like to know the basics then after I can do trails and errors. From what I node stood that stepping is a must, please anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I will not add lemon but please, any idea how long I should leave juice ( fruit flavor + VG + 20 mg nicotine in 100% VG liquid) and shall I keep bottle close or open. And should I shake from time to time?
