BH - Some use Vodkas (high proof) because PGA is not sold in all States. The amount of Alcohol used is very small and you can not get drunk from vaping such a small amount. Most use to thin out VG juices since VG is very thick when making a 100% VG sauce. Some DIYers also use distilled water (again small amount) instead of alcohol.

I believe vodka has very little if any sugar. Sugar would gunk up an atty.

Some people think adding alcohol to an ejuice adds some TH? And I am not sure, but I think alcohol is needed for mixing oil-based flavorings like almond, ginger, lemon, lime?

Since oil based flavorings are by definition insoluble in water I think you hit it on the head there. That plus the consensus that alcohol can add to TH.

I can't buy PGA in the state I live. That aside, I have tried both 90 proof Vodka and PGA. I see that much difference between the two and Vodka is Much cheaper.

I also use rum in some of my darker DIY mixes. I don't see it "gunking" up an atty worse than vodka. In fact, juice with rum tends to gunk up my atty's less than juices without rum.

Can you get drunk when vaping? I guess you could. That is, if you can get drunk over 2 drops of Vodka over a 16 hour period.
