why vv/vw??????

people should get mech mods, not vv/vw electronic devices.

the more highly sophisticated computerized tech you have, the more security tech you need and/or the more vulnerable you are to hacking or these devices becoming compromised.

why add another high tech device, a high tech computerized "intelligent" cigarette for that matter? something you will have on you at all times...likely never be without....seems ideal for tracking gps enabled tech.

these things are getting more and more sophisticated with more and more computerized chips and software coming with them. the new joyetech evic "intelligent" cigarette with a "control" head is an example.

people should stay away from them and stick to fully mechanical mods that they have complete control over, are simple to maintain, can't be hacked/compromised and used against you and work just as well as the "intelligent" vv/vw electronic/computerized devices.

As the vast majority of VV/VW ecigs only have voltage or power regulation, there is nothing to hack. On the other hand, they do offer numerous protections from battery over discharge, shorting, etc, while also allowing a vaper to tune the heat and flavor to their liking.

I use both, and each has it's usefulness. A couple of ecigs touting more advanced circuitry is no reason to avoid all the safety benefits available in even the inexpensive regulated devices.

It is the mark of the beast. I, for one, welcome our new alien overloards.

Last I checked, JoyeTech isn't installing skynet connected GPS capable chips on their VV mods.

Interesting thought, though, I could see how the various world governments would be terribly interested in your puff count and coil resistance.

This is the New Members forum.
Are you new to vaping?

You'll need to get your posts up to 5 to post in the other forums.

So what's your hardware?

Well, if a vaping device was a laptop computer, then I would agree with your concerns. But having a small chip in a regulated device does not open the vaper up to attack. In fact, it makes their vaping experience much safer.

I would alway recommend someone who is unfamiliar with this particular type of technology to start with a very safe device. The MVP v2 springs to mind.

It is very easy to charge yet delivers excellent vapour.

Please try something like this before a mech mod - you really won't be disappointed.

Good luck!

I would think the last thing anyone would wanna hack is your electronic cigarette. I mean really what could they do, make you only able to take half hits. The units being small wouldn't be able to hold all the needed components to support GPS tracking, antenna and boosting circuits. And I though I had a big tin foil hat lol Mech mods are great, but not for a beginner. IMO all beginners should start with a VV/VW device VW being the easy mode calculates everything for them until they learn a bit about using voltage to manually control there vape. Mech mods usually follow some where later on after a user has learned a bit about Building and batteries.

Nothing wrong with VV e-cigs. Plenty wrong with complete rubbish like the evic, because they just break, like all CHEAP electrical devices.
Manufacture cheap, sell expensive, live the dream. :)

You could find room in one for a GPS. I might try that, make some use of the worlds most useless e-cig. (the evic....)

I might even link one up to my sat-nav. Cool idea. Thanks. :)

I think you would be hard pressed to fit a battery, control curcuits for the e cig and GPS IMO. I build small GPS units for Quad copters and RC planes so they can be tracked should they go down out of sight. And for FPV use, range is to small to be of any good use without signal amp equipment. The hardest part for RC air vehicles is keeping the gear small and light enough to be lifted and flown without effects on flight. Unfortunately the components are mostly still to large and heavy for small craft. Still don't think it would be of much use on Electronic E cig gear in any capacity.

The new ProVari V3 will require you to enter your social security number and checking account info.....it's all starting to make sense....

Wow - that is exciting. I wonder if I can program it to get me round the golf course avoiding all the hazards.
Provari v3.1 "146 yards to stop short of the water" Nice :)

You're only 6 clicks away from proper club suggestions and the specials being offered in the club house. Water and sand is 8 clicks...distance to the pin is displayed real time on screen start up. Plus, there's a really neat puff counter for all those times you ask yourself "I wonder how many puffs I've had today..." Still only VV, though.

Eh, my wife already put a tracking chip in my .... ... so I'm not too concerned. :p
