Hi all, Why when I go to a lower ohm atty it seems to bother my throat more. I am using a young june 2.0 and really have been keeping the volts at 3 and the atty I currently am using is a 1.5 ohm. I was using a 2.4 that I would run around 3.5v and that seemed good. I was using a smoov unit and had no problems at all with it.

jimmy, you are producing more power to the coil with the 1.5 ohm atty and that is probably doing it. Have a look at this power calculator. When you input volts and ohms and click on 'calculate' you will see that you are getting about 1 watt more power with the 1.5 ohm atty at 3 volts than with the 2.4 ohm at 3.5 volts and no way to lower the volts.

Have a look at the Power Chart - vaping Pwr Guide.xlsx on this page in the attachment in the first post. You need to stick with atties with higher ohms to get into the lower power ranges.

HTH.

YJ 2.0 feels like more than you set it at as well. I've noticed on mine I use my 2.0 ohm cartos at around 3.6 vs using the same carto on my twists at around 4.2+ to get the same flavor

not trying to turn this into a "get a different mod" thread, but my vamo should be here monday and I would assume that it would act the same in Vavg mode as my YJ, but I won't be using that mode haha

If you can do math (I can, but I work it takes a minute) try this quick formula; (V x V) / Ohms. (3 x3)= 9. 9 / 1.5 = 6 watts with a LR atty. Now, (3 x 3) = 9. 9 / 2.4 = 3.75 watts. By switching out your attys you are nearly doubling the power. I use this formula because I like the higher voltage when using a LR 510 atty on my REOSmini.

This of ohms as "How far the flood gates are closed" for electricity. A 2.5 ohm atty has much more closure than a 1.5 ohm atty. 1.5 is hotter. See PapawBrett's formula above.

At 3.6 volts you're getting 3.6 x 3.6 / 1.5 = 8.64 watts. That's a lot warmer.

It's not my formula, just something I picked up here at ECF. But, yea my mini pushes close to 9W with a LR 1.5 atty. So I order my juices at 30/70 PG/VG. That way the TH is comfortable and the vapor production good with that setup.
