I am going crazy. I've always used the RBA for the Egrip and when I got the VT it didn't fit. I bought some regular stock CL coils for the VT but it burns my throat for some reason so I bought CLR coils thinking if I could change the cotton out it would be more like my 30w Egrip. The VT doesn't have the same airflow and it burns my throat so bad and no clouds. I just got the CLR coils but I Can't Screw them in. I have two questions...1) how do I get the CLR coils to fit the VT and 2) why would there be such a throat burn with the CL coils? Thank you everyone

I've been researching a bunch on the forums and Tpat591 seems to know alot about the Egrip. I'm new here so I couldn't reply to any posts and I'm not sure if your able to message others and ask questions. If you can, can someone show me how.

I did find the airflow on the VT but it still burns so bad. Another problem I'm having with the VT is it only lets me use Variable Temp mode. When I switch to Watts it says Atomizer low. Why did they have to change the 30W up. I was perfectly happy with my egrip 30w and the RBA base but I go thru them so fast from dropping so I bought 3 VT models and now 2 months later, I still can't get them to work right...ughhh

Bear in mind, there are different types of CL coils, each requiring a specific type of power setting on the VT. Certain coils are meant to be used in Temperature settings only.

As for the CLR coils not fitting, from what I can see on their site, there are two types of CLR coil. One is designed specifically for the Ego One. The other is for the Temperature Control devices. You most likely have the CLR coils for the Ego One and that's why they're not fitting in your VT.

Hi and Welcome- you could try and see if your OLED base fits onto your eGripVT, some of the older OLED had the CS base and I believe that the CS base is what the RBA coil fits. I had the OLED CL base on mine and I was able to purchase CS Base and use that instead. I also liked that the eleaf gsair coils worked well with the CS Base and much cheaper than the Joyetech coil heads. It just may work.

I have the OLED version of the egrip. It has the cl base. There is a tiny silicone disk that has to fit on top of the coil and works fine with the CL heads but with the CLR I need to unscrew the top part of the head until the top part is flush (or flat) so that the disk will lay on top.

I'm not sure why yours won't screw it. There are the two bases (CS and CL) like @Snapdragon said.
