I was vaping my ecig kinda heavy today on a 2.2 head with 1300 mah ego,and above me is my smoke detector, and all of a sudden it started going off. I thought maybe it was because the coil was gunked up so I put a fresh head and stood on a step ladder and blew into the detector ,again it went off. Any one out there know why it would do this,does the vapor trick the smoke detector into thinking it's actually smoke?

depending on the detector, it senses particles in the air, be it excessive dust, smoke, vapor. Even sanding sheetrock filler will set them off.
household smoke detectors use Optical or Ionization detection
when the connection is broke, alarm sounds
ever walk into a store and the chimes or buzzer goes off
garage doors have a beam as a safety over ride
it's the same thing, when something disrupts the beam
(same as a break in a wire) it triggers...

All the above is true. A lot of smoke detectors are optical. The vapor disrupts the light beam and keeps it from hitting the sensor and viola....!!!!!!!.
