LOL!!! I wonder what those things are detecting in the air. But I set off my mother in laws the other day with my vapor. I was standing directly underneath it, fixing wires on the back of her tv. It's a hardwired one, if that happens to make a difference.

So everyone, for future reference, YES- vapor can set off a smoke detector.

LMAO!

LOL Diesel! My mother in laws were part of the house when it was made, 20 someodd years ago. I'm sure they don't work the samel way as the newer ones. I have yet to try mine. I can't ever get them to shut off, short of beating the crap out of them, so I don't really want to do that anytime soon. It scares the bijinkies out of the kids and dog, and then my bird starts squaking.
