Propylene Glycol molecules are hygroscopic and will bond with water molecules. When you’re vaping, the PG in your e-liquid will draw water out of your saliva and surrounding tissue in your mouth, nose, and throat, and possibly even the skin around your mouth. Vape often enough and it won’t take long to feel the effects of dehydration.
One of the hardest things for me when I started. I was never a big water drinker, so I had to "learn" how to hydrate. I also bought stock in Chapstick.
May cause dry mouth for some due to mouth breathing and flavors, but to a actually become dehydrated by vaping is far fetched. Actual dehydration is a serious medical condition. If vaping really caused dehydration, then vaping is quite dangerous...
the dehydration factor from vaping is a myth..... true it makes you "feel" dry mouthed but it wont dehydrate you...
VG and PG in excellent conditions can only absorb up to 40% of its volume in water.. so if you vaped 10ml of juice, it absorbed 4 ml of water ( in perfect conditions) 4 ml is about almost close to a full tank in most RTA's ummm maaybe a teaspoon and a half??
If you drink water while vaping, it is because you believe in old vaper's tale about dehydrating.
I don't believe in tales (even in a tale about gluten-free diet), so I do not need to drink water.
