I've never seen cigarettes referred to these things outside of these forums.

Why did we gravitate away from, smokes, squares, cigs, death sticks, cancer sticks, fags, stoges, ect.

Not to say that these new names are bad, analog makes sense if you think that you are actually vaporizing an electronic form of a cigarette.

Just curious why we felt the need to come up with NEW nick names for something that already has A TON of nicknames..

Why not?

Purely as a guess, I would say as a way to separate "now" from our former lives as smokers. But the nicknames were in place looong before i got here. lol

renamed again for a few reasons i suppose, its a name/term that vaporers use to show their commonality to the new social group, plus it has a new name/term denoting that there is a less than desireable attraction to the ciggies. and also, the smell of ciggies is rather pungent to many once they have been vaping for a while....
