We Need Some Vapin' Slang

I'd like to discuss a subject that I have yet to see seriously considered here on ECF but which I think will ultimately have a great impact on the vaping scene and may indeed determine its eventual success or failure. I'm talking 'bout slang, people. Slang. As vaping becomes more popular, if we're truly serious about competing with smoking, we need to come up with some slang to throw out there. I mean, hey, vaping has to be as least as cool as smoking if we're gonna make any real headway in the analog world, right? Because, really, let's face it, there are very few things more important in this world than being cool.

Some slang that I've heard or found on the interwebs for an analog:

Smoke/..../drag/Joe/cancer-stick/death-stick/coffin-nail (or just "nail")/...(British)/cig/ciggy/square/snout/stogey/bogey/tab/bone/sweet.

Of course, these come in countless variations, as in:

"'Scuse me, I'm gonna step outside and... cut a smoke/blow a smoke/have a drag/take a drag/toke one/put in a nail/suck a snout/bogey a bone/toke a sweet/drive in a nail..."

Ok, I made some of those up. Anyway.

We can steal lots of these, turning the tables on the old analogs. Some would work quite well:

"'Scuse me, I'm gonna step outside and... vape a Joe/..../snout/stogey/bogey..."

We can also adapt some of our current slang:

"'Scuse me, I'm gonna step outside and... blow an atty/cut a cart/bogey a boge/toke a tank..."

Sexual innuendo is always good when it comes to both slang and cigarettes::

"'Scuse me, I'm gonna step outside and... burn some juice/suck on my big batt/light my tip (cig-a-likes only)/push my button/blow off some steam..."

Ok, some of those make absolutely no sense. Anyway.

We could do a lot with brands:

"'Scuse me, I'm gonna step outside and... Do the Twist/Bolt my Volt/Volt my Bolt/Play the Blu's/Stoke my Ego..."

So, anyone w/valid ideas or suggestions, let's hear it. We've ignored this crucial issue for too long...

Yeah, not a bad idea, but where I'm from so few people have even heard of e-cigarettes that vaping slang is as far away into the future as teleportation or light speed travel. Quite sad really, but hopefully, I'll be able to use the "blow an atty" line in a few years

i've been using the lines, scuse me whilst i take a toot... blow my horn... drip mah juice... also when i find a juice i really like, i'll say something like... man, this juice is definitely worth the squeeze... there's a crap ton of innuendo's surrounding everything vaping which is a huge part of the fun for me...

Ever since I heard Grimm Greene call a vapor draw a "toot", that's what I call it.

One that I haven't figured out yet, but I simply love the device, is the cartomizer tank accessory tool called the "Slap Yo Momma".

Slang is earned I don't think its something you can force. It just develops with time. ZAP is one that's all ready here to say we all know what that is. We have some cool names all ready Cartomizer atty. I do agree as Vaping becomes more popular slang will follow.
Slap yo Mamma is great Have a home one and a lunch pale one!
Slap yo Mamma is kind of a southern saying That pie is so good its gonna make you slap yo Mamma!

DONT CALL IT "TOOT". its RIDICULOUS. Toot is widely known as FARTING. Grimm heard "toot" somewhere and started saying it.

I call my PV when someone asks, Vaporizer, Ecig, or if they are having trouble with the concept "This is how I quit smoking". I did that with a smart A ones.
I have also got in my reserves "my medicine", "flavor vapor", "aroma therapy" and "THIS IS HOW I QUIT SMOKING".
On the smart A side in my reserves there is "scuse me while I wipe this out and vape", "going out to play choo choo train", "Going to steam clean my lungs", "Just spraying for Mosquitoes". LOL For the guys that call it a crutch. LOL

in another thread somewhere around here someone refed their e cig as their nicotine inhaler - I kinda like that one too.

for me.. it's also become dessert - bypass the calories and have a vape instead - dark chocolate. yum

I'm forever saying 'I'm off for a Vape' or whatever, but yeah we need more imaginative slang all my friends use the term 'have a blast' when it comes to my ecig. I must admit, I think I'm the most known Vaper in my town, might take advantage of that and throw some slang around, get it out there
