Why I quit my 40 year, pack a day habit? I watched my sister die of lung cancer ay 39 years old AND 6 years later my sweet mother suffered a long slow death with lung cancer at 71. You would think that would have been enough! But sadly, I continued to smoke cigarettes for 10 more years
. Nothing helped me quit this addiction, patches, gum etc. until another sister who also smoked, had a portion of her lung removed! Seriously??? Yes, my addiction had an unreal hold on me. When her surgeon told her he didn't care if she used e-cigs just don't ever smoke again I decided to give it a try. Within 2 weeks I was totally cig free! I just passed the 4 month mark without cigarettes and I have reduced my nicotine level from 21, to 18 and now to 12mg.
My plan is to work my way down to 0mg. I LOVE LOVE vaping!!
Having said all the obvious reasons, I love being a non-smoker because: no more smell, no bad breath, saving $$, breathing easier, my hubby says I no longer snore
.
That's my story in a nut shell! Thanks for this forum, lots of great information.
