Hello to everyone here at the e-cigarette forum. I am new to this forum, my name is Patrick Brochu.
A little background on myself, I used to smoke for almost 30 years. I started using electronic cigarettes about four months ago.
I really enjoy "vaping" as it's called, my wife is also very happy that I no longer smoke cigarettes. Another reason I am glad
that I quit smoking is that my father died on October 6th from cancer. He smoked for 60 years, he first developed cancer
in his right lung. He had half of his lung removed and had chemotherapy. Then the cancer spread to his brain and from there
it spread to his back.

Hi thetrooper and welcome from out west. You are definitely ahead of me - I have been vaping since Oct 30th - but just hit the one month completely smoke free yesterday. I know everyone here refers to it as "vaping" - and my kids think that sounds pretty funny. My husband is pretty happy that I am no longer smoking cigarettes too.

So sorry to hear that you just lost your father to cancer. I lost my favorite uncle to throat cancer back in Jan and it really is a wake up call. I am pretty sure that it played a part in my looking to reduce the amount I was smoking when I first started vaping. Then to my great surprise - after 46 years of smoking - it appears that I have now quit.

I am also very happy that I found ECF - the folks around here are very supportive. So welcome to the forum.

Hi and welcome to the ECF forum, congrats on making the switch, and, sorry for your loss. (I am also from Niagara), and it's wonderful to be out and seeing other vapers in our area. Be prepared to answer lots of questions from fellow Canadians. I am proud to say that almost all of the smokers in our family (7 of us..and counting) have made the switch from analogs to vaping- it's so exciting to finally be a "non-smoker", and- to have our whole family so passionate about being smoke free. Keep up the good work!

Hello Patrick and Welcome!

Sorry to hear about your father. I stopped smoking the day after my dad's funeral back in Oct. He went in for a by-pass but had complications 2 days into recovery. Made him a promise that I'd quit - I hope to keep it.

This forum helped me a lot (technical and moral support). Get some more posts in and drop by the Canadian sub-forum as well.

Cheers and good luck!

I recently ordered an e-cigarette adapter for a DSE901 battery to KR808D-1 cartridge. The battery came with the EAZE Magnum e-cigarette I ordered from EPUFFER. I have cartridges from Bullsmoke and Smoketip that I ordered before Christmas. How do I attach the adapter to the battery. The adapter has threading on the inside of the adapter. I tried screwing the adapter on the battery but the end of the adapter is too big for the threading on the end of the EAZE Magnum battery. What am I doing wrong? Please help
