Wich POL ? :s

Hi,

Now that I understand better where battery modders are taking those TI chips, I am searching for a particular one.

My goal: a variable voltage 6v mod (I'm testing with 2 CR2 batteries, wich goes around 7v when fully charged).

I've seen the TI PTN0450C is appreciated around here, but regarding the spec, I nead some help here...

1) it won't allowed more than 5.5Vin, so I guess I can't use this one ?
2) it allows 15Vout, so I guess it's a TI Booster too ?

I've seen the list of differents POL on TI website, but is there a particular one that would be more recomanded for this kind of use ?

use the 5V boobster with a 18650 or 18500 instead... with a 75K between Vout and Adj pin and a 3A diode at Vout towards the atty connector. 200K pot with a fixed 20K added resistor and you should get between 4.6V to 5.6 unloaded. 4.2 to 5.2 under load.

The fact is I'm trying to put all that stuf in a tube of 20mm diameter, 60mm lenght.
So I'v chosen the 2Cr2 combination.
If it's not possible, I think im gona have to chose between 2 solutions:
-2 cr2 + 1 5v resistor(not adjustable)
-1 cr2 + 1 booster + an home made feeding spray like you did (great job by the way !)

Suggestions are welcom

i dont think 1 cr2 + boobster is gonna give you much vaping time between charges.

Yes, that's why I'm a litle lost for now..
I should use 2 CR2 in line, and then go down with a simple adjustable transistor, but im afraid it's gona warm it up...

I may be wrong, but I thought the atty needed around 1.5-2A, that's quiet a lot for a simple potentiometer/variable resistor (the stuff is gona burn nop?)

They do have 2 and 3amp pots, but the ohm ratings are very high. It might work, but I couldn't tell you for sure. It might wind up being too sensitive. Chalk that up to opening my mouth before my brain caught up.
