Many ecf users use this wick for their rebuildable atomizers. Also the first batch of wick for Iatty1 was bought from the same sourse. We dont use this wick any more because it is replaced from E2 wick but after a research on a laboratory we found that this wick is not suitable to our health. Gredie informed me that bg (another old GG user) made those tests and she found what is going on. So if you have bought this wick and you still have stock of it, better to throw it out. Wick is cheap so you will not lose something important. The most important is our health!

A very big thanks to Gredie that send me this info. I always concern about our health while we vape different things trying to find the best stuff and I see that other people concern too. Thats very good for all of us. This was a huge help to vaping community and bg and Gredie bring this info to light. Exellent move from 2 very serious people!

Thanks for the info Imeo, gredie and bg. I just rebuilt my iatty last night and was still using the old wick. After reading this I immediately took it apart and used the new e2 wick. WoW! So far it wicks better and tastes better to boot. I honestly would have kept using the old stuff until I ran out of it before starting to use the e2 wick I have. I was using the old stuff cause I didn't want to waste it but now its in the trash. Thanks again.
PS: I noticed last night as I was wrapping the old wick that pieces of it were flaking off. Probably not good.

It is on Greek customs right now Gredie. I will have it in my hands soon and I will send it to my sellers in 15 days together with the Stealth's order
BG2509 found this out, i was just the messenger. Thank you bg!!

Imeo, the E2 wick is not available at Georgio and Cam. Is it possible to stock them up, please?

The wick we talk about is the very fat one that came with Iatty wyrm. This wick doesnt exist any more for several months now. I am talking about people that bought this fat wick many months ago and they still have it in stock
If i bought wick with my iatty from ecigs london in the last month is this to be avoided?
TIA

Im curious to, what is unhealthy about it?
Since I've been using it exclusively for quite some time. What concerns do I have?

I haven't been using it much lately as I have been making very small coils some other wick material I have, and don't have my iAtty anymore... But I have the same question here. I would like a link or something to please explain what the issue is with the wick from the the wick store. I usually clean/torch a bunch of it before use, and it is white. What exactly is the issue?

Sorry, I don't have a paper with analyse results. Somebody, who is working in a professional laboratory, did us a favor und analysed the wick. They classify materials into three groups: one is "save material" aka "no health issues to be expected", in the 2nd group there may be eventual a risk for health issues. In the last group there is quite a good change for serious health issues. The laboratory classified the wick material from wickstore to be in the last group, so we immediatly stopped using this wick for iatty.

I don't know if the wick is coated or not, my personal assumption is that the risk is inhaling small parts into the lungs.
Who knows if this is just possible when the wick is running dry or if this is the case while normal vaping too.
I don't care this analysing results to be officialy documented, for me a warning from a pro is enough reason to go for a safer wick.
