As the title states, the wicks in my Hobo tend to sizzle after I stop firing it. Not crackling, but sizzling, as the coil is cooling down, its sizzling relatively loudly and then trails off. Is this normal, or do I need to wick better?

Sometimes that happens while a coil is cooling yet getting fed juice from the wick. Check the coils and make sure they are setup correctly, not too low, and firing up from center out. If those check out okay, then it's your wicking.
What you are hearing is the coils cooling down, you can remedy this by letting go of the button a second or so before you finish your draw, you won't over-burn the wick this way and you shouldn't notice any difference in flavor or vapor production.
Get some sizzling as the coil cools down or if you fire a coil and not enough heat to vaporise most of the liquid in the wick.
On both accounts its just excess liquid that sizzling but not being turned into vapour.
Can also happen if the wick is not adequately filling the inside of the coil/s , which can lead to scorching the outside of the wick.
