I'm having an issue with my ehpro kayfun nano that I can't figure out. I've only been doing rebuildables for two weeks, so I admit I'm still fairly new to this. What I'm experiencing is a burnt flavor almost immediately after wicking and priming. I'm currently running a 1.4ohm micro coil I made on a 5/64 drill bit. I like to vape at around 10 watts on an elvt. I also have the elvt2 and get the same problem.

The first several hits are always awesome, and then it's burning. When I first got this, it was awesome and really easy to work with. No issues. Then for the past several days, I can't figure out how to get rid of this burnt taste. I've tried rayon, organic cotton and japanese cotton. I've tried more cotton, I've tried less cotton. I just can't figure it out :(

Any help would be appreciated. I'll snap some photos of this build and wicking once I dump the tank, again.

Thanks

I have a lemo which is identical build-wise to a kayfun. What I do is I mount the coil at angle (meaning it's not lined up with the juice channels) when I put my wick in I push it up against the side of the chimney so it curves around the edge (the entire build ends up in an "s" shape) and the ends of the wicks are right where the juice channels begin. This has been a full proof method for me, you don't clog up your channels but you can still have a decently long wick to soak up a nice amount of juice.

I'll try that when I rewick. Saw that in a video once, and like you, I mount my coils at an angle because I found it easier to trap the leads that way.
