Rayon questions

just bought 500ft of rayon and I'm liking it but had a few questions since I've never used it before.

1. is it supposed to be packed tightly in my coils? I hear it deflates when wet.

2. can I fire it higher compared to regular cotton balls/Japanese cotton?

3. does that weird taste ever go away a few puffs in and it tastes weird

4. how often do I re wick with rayon? with Japanese cotton I'm rewicking every 2 days coils either gunked or cotton burnt :/
