Wicking issues with the aspire nautilus

I put a new coil in the tank yesterday, and today I am having a lot of issues with dry hits. The juice I am using is 50/50 pg/vg. I love the nautilus because I've never had this problem with it, but this sucks man. Anyone have an idea for what I could do?

There's a video somewhere in these threads of a guy using a carto punch to put extra holes in the head. I did it and it worked. He goes all the way with his punch and that ruined one of mine. Allowed to much liquid in. What I did was stop when I noticed the tip making it through. I also used a tooth pick to sort of push the wick back up against the new hole and wall
