To be honest that cotton doesn't look all that bad and high wattage and additives are going to beat up both your coil and your cotton. If ever you figure out how to stop it let the rest of us know, you'd be everyone's hero!
And good looking setup and you build is nice. I like the way the leads on your coil clamp onto the rda.
