wide band vs regular 510 atties

What's the difference between a regular 510 atomizer and the ones that have a wide band on them? The ones with the wide band seem to be more expensive, but after so many bad experiences with the regular ones in recent weeks, I'm wondering if I should just try the other type. Are they made by a different company? Are they better?

In case anyone isn't familiar with these two types:

I'm not 100%, but I think that the wide band is made by Boge. I got a starter kit esmokeronline.com to test and it was a gold Boge 510. The atty looks the same except mine is gold. It seems like a great atty to me.

Thanks. I've decided to give them a try. I can't bear another foul-tasting atty. If this other brand tastes bad, then I'm going to start thinking this is a big tobacco conspiracy to get me to smoke analogs again! ;D

Wide band is nothing but decoration, Joye has them, too. I don't know if any of the clones have them.
All Jantys have wide band, as has AFAIK TW, but you can get them as just another Joye style from some Chinese vendors, too. And some other ones.

I do think they're nicer looking, but I was hoping maybe they were made by a different company. Oh well. As long as they work and don't taste bad, I'll be happy.

If you are looking for clones, they are available under their own name, since some people with mods prefer them. You should be aware, though, that the clones run on 3.7v, while the Joye runs on 3.1v, which makes for quite a difference in taste and behaviour.

My vapor king 510 from electronic cigarettes inc came with two of those.
I can only tell you that I alternate both and in a month I haven't notice any decrese in vapor of flavor. I use them with a high voltage passthru and with vateries and no problem in a month... I'll post later when the first one dies...
