Hi all,

I'm 36 years old and have smoked analogs (almost a pack a day) for 10 years. I started vaping a tad over a month ago and have not touched or had the desire to touch an analog since. I vape Smoke 51 Duo 8-12mg carts that I got cheap off craigslist. I bought a bunch of filters online using some coupon codes to save up to half off.

I have noticed alot of the benefits mentioned (better breathing, more energy, no stinky cloths, no second hand smoke...etc) but I've noticed something wierd Only since Late last week. Every now and again I get this wierd tingle in my arms and legs. A few years back (when I was smoking) I would notice this same feeling in my legs when my wife and I would go out for a brisk 1.5 mile walk. Back then, after the walk, I would feel the tingle in my legs and you could tell it was the blood circulating. This tingle back then was more pronounced and would last about an hour or two. I am a little over wieght (not that much) 5'9 at 195lbs. My blood pressure was always kinda high (mid 130 to low 140 over 90-95) when I was smoking. Since I noticed this tingle late last week, I ran out to get my blood pressure checked. Of course since I was super nervous about it, my blood pressure shot up to 150 over 90. I talked to my wife about it and she insisted that I calm down and retake my blood pressure later that I maybe over reacting. I went and had my blood pressure checked a few more times and it was not that high again. The lowest it was was 136 over 88 but it mostly in the low 140s over 89ish but I was still somewhat nervous when taking the test. I never taken and BP meds .

I have since been taking 6mg carts but still notice this tingle feeling every now and again (most of the times after vaping but sometimes even when I have not vaped in 2hrs or so or even when I wake up in the morning, I sometimes notice it. Its fairly slight (not as bad as the after brisk walk feel but I feel this in my arms and legs only) This does not seem to be an all day thing just sometimes. I talked to a few folks at work about it and they state since I have not had a real cig in over a month that my circulation may be improving and I am not use to circulation. One lady was pretty much convinced that what it was as she remember something similar after she quit (40+ years of smoking).

Has anyone noticed this at all? I did not notice any of this for the first 3.5 weeks of vaping and never noticed it when smoking analogs.

I'm just taking a wild stab at this, but maybe, just maybe, your circulation is improving--thus causing the tingling. My hubby's dentist has seen a great improvement in the health of his gums---better circulation. Both of us have had a significant drop in our blood pressure since we quit analogs and started vaping and our resting pulse has dropped noticeably too. Since you noticed this "tingling" after taking a walk, it kinda makes sense that it probably is due to better circulation. Smoking thwarts blood circulation big time. :2c:

Have you had your thyroid tested? Also, have you noticed a tendency towards drowsiness during the day?

I'm 5'9" as well, and I should weigh between 155 and 160. Unless you've got really big bones or you have a lot of muscle, 195 is a pretty heavy load to be carrying around.

I've had the problem of tingling before and it turned out that I was deficient in vitamin B-12. I was deficient in B-12 because my thyroid gland had ceased to function. My blood pressure was chronically high because of all this and I had severe sleep apnea to boot.

Definitely see your doctor!

Good luck.

Have a look in the Health forums, and you'll find discussion about circulatory changes (and lots of other info, as is usual around here). You can use the search feature to search within that specific forum for your "symptoms".

FWIW, I experienced something similar, and it passed within a few weeks. Most likely I just got used to it.

I have had peripheral neuropathy for the past two years. Numbness and tingling started in my feet and moved up to my waist and then hands. Cold weather is miserable. Have seen 10 doctors and had tons of tests. My last neurologist put me on heavy doses of B-12 and I have gotten better but he says I have a long road ahead. I am optimistic.

I have had this condition long before I started vaping so in my case ecigs did not cause this.

My best advice is to go to a neurologist ASAP. You don’t want it to get worse. Feel free to PM me if I can help. Best of luck.

Could it also be because you find your activities change due to vaping?

If you sit alot, with or without your legs crossed, or sit improperly, that could lead to the compression of your sciatic nerve, or a branch of your fibular nerve. Also, perhaps you may have taken up walking or more excercise. That could also impact what is going on for you.

I saw a neurologist for 9 years, did all kinds of therapy, took a zillion meds, had lots of cat-scans, and had needles jabbed in my head before the doctors figured out my headaches were caused by a misfocusing of my eyes. SOLUTION: Glasses at 35, go figure. only headaches I have had since are caused by my 2 kids. (6m&10f still love them though, but they are LOUD!)

I don't place much stock in the powers of modern medicine. If I wake up alive, I am good to go.

Vape some juice, Drink some energy drinks, (used to be more than a few cups of coffee, but my teeth were gettin grungy) have a BIG med-rare steak, and eggs for breakfast and off I go!!

Humans lived a good long time before we figured out EVERYTHING that was pleasurable would kill us, so I just do what I want and deal with it.
