First thing I wanted is to say hello. I've been in forums since I started vaping just took a long time to sign up( so I'm not as much a newbie even tho I am a newbie lol) I believed I needed to read about stuff so I knew what I was doing before making post. I started vaping about 8 months ago stopped smoking 3 months ago before that 1 or 2 a day. I started making my own juices about 3 months ago and I can't find anything my wife will vape. She says "the ones you make are nasty" but she's said that about all I have bought except one coffee from ms tee's. But even when I get her that one she won't use it. I kinda feel like it is that she doesn't want to quit. Everyone that I've given juice that I mix says that its better than any they have tried from anywhere. I'm wandering if anyone else has run into this and what's your opinion and ideas. Answer even if you haven't ran into this. Thank you in advance.

I love vaping with my SD mkIIs and lr attys. I own 2 mkIIs, 2 510s, 2 510 pasthrus,a bunch of 510 parts and 1 blu-cig. I wanna own a glv 5 volt in the near future but they are a little expensive so I have to wait. :p

Hi Tim and Welcome. I bought two starter kits 4 mths ago so both DH and I would quit. I took to it right away and quit cigs the next day. DH tried it for, oh 3 days off and on between analogs, and like your wife says nothing tastes good. He also says the battery doesn't feel right, it's not satisfying... etc. I've come to the conclusion, he really loves his analogs and doesn't want to quit. I can't force him, just gently encourage him and wave through the window as he has to go outside in the cold to smoke while I'm warm in the house vaping.

I love all my PVs, SmokeTip, eGo, Riva, but I think my vGo is my favorite. I only use cartomizers, fill em with my favorite juices and am just too happy. Maybe DH will get involved soon. One can only hope :)

Welcome, Tim!
It took me forever....I'm the wife that gave the half azz effort, but really had no intentions of quitting. I have a bunch of friends who give me friction every time we talk about vaping. I think it might be fear....I was terrified of failing again, so I didn't really try. I don't know how to approach this either. For me, the last barrier was the PV. I finally found what works for me and have been trying juices ever since. I vaped for 6 months before I walked away from analogs....and its been 4 months since my last analog. The issue with the PV was that I needed it to be easier than lighting a cigarette. Now that's been handled, I've been working on the juices and have found a very small handful that I like. Maybe she doesn't like the delivery system, but hasn't made the connection that sometimes the flavor is influenced by the PV setup. I don't know....but I hope you are able to help her find a solution and that she is receptive to it. I'm still working my friends, but they are so afraid of failing I'm not sure they'll ever try. Good luck, Tim....If I think of anything, I'll be sure to drop you a line. ((hugs))

I've tried stuff from fruit to coffee only thing she has showed interest in is coffee but she likes analog better I just laugh inside about her goin out in cold to smoke. But want her to switch so she will feel better ( lungs and energy wise cause I feel so much better) and possibly live longer.

Exactly!

btw, DH only likes tobacco and the only flavor he'll vape when/if he will vape is Carolina Tobacco from VaporNine.

Thanks rhapsody, that's kinda how I believe she is feelin. I can't figure out a way to talk about it without her getting upset. I don't want to push her away so she won't give it a chance later just gotta keep trying and hopefully she will. It is just hard for me to understand cause it worked for me as soon as I tried. I still smoked 1 or 2 a day because they were there then it was 1 or 2 a week just to see if it still tasted as bad. Then was like why am I still doin this I feel like I licked an ashtray.

Are there any fruit flavors that both you and she like? Relatively simple flavors. Get some juices for yourself and vape them. If they are really good, just rave about them. Don't force or offer any just rave about them. "This tastes just like...!" Maybe she'll get curious and "fall into" vaping. (Maybe a good cappuccino would work...I also like the "fruit tea" flavors from Freedom Smoke USA. They aren't a "heavy tea" flavor and the fruit isn't too strong either--and they aren't too sweet either---peach tea, raspberry tea, lemon tea, etc.) I'd also stop trying to give her juices that you've mixed up. It's got to be discouraging to hear her say that it tastes nasty (contrary to what everyone else is saying.)

I agree also that she might not be ready to quit because of fear of failure. You're serving as a shining example to her. When she sees you stick with it, she might be ready.

Hard to guess the problem. As someone said it could be fear. Also, if she is not a gadget nut kind of person, the equipment might intimidate her or seem unnatural. And vape does sort of taste a bit nasty or harsh when you first start (at least the first juice I had - a PG tobacco). What kind of cigarettes does she smoke? If she smokes ultralights or slims maybe she would prefer something like M401 which vapes lighter with good taste? Do any of your PV's look like a cigarette (like white with tan filter? ) If not, maybe she would prefer one that does so she won't stand out. Dunno

What kinds of foods does she like in real life? Maybe she would be interested in some food/fruity juices? I can't vape them all the time (I need a tobacco flavor with TH to be satisfied) but some of the other flavors are really nice. Backwoods Brew Peach is amazing. If she likes Ginger Ale, Velvet Vapors has a nice ginger ale and raspberry ginger ale. If she likes liquor, you can make a tobacco+liquor flavor as well as any combination you want at Gourmet Vapor (60% off sale on flavored juices including self-creations until Jan 5 with code VapeTV60 ). I also love flavors with chocolate or raspberry. freedomSmokeUSA has flavored tea vapes. I like peach tobaccos (mix some BWB peach with a tobacco flavor juice). She's a lady - she probably likes one of those things?

This is kinda what I've decided to do Ive been trying to be real subtle about it so I don't scare her away just letting her see. I'm not hacking anymore and I think I need to get new attys for her.
