Good luck! As you see by my sig, I've been vaping awhile.
A total stranger (on the sidewalk outside a club) saw me start to light up an analog and introduced me to ecigs. V4L, specifically. Said he'd tried three other brands that were cheaper, but terrible. I went home, ordered a kit that night, and never looked back.
Then, maybe four months ago, I ordered some Titans and a couple of tanks from V4L. Loved 'em. But the tank carts wore out quickly. Turned out (from ECF) the Titans weren't really powerful enough (volts) to properly use with the tanks / cartos.
So I ordered two kGo 1100 maHs, plus an adapter and charger and some big eGo carts. WOW! What a difference! The kGos lasted me a day or slightly more per charge, and did a great job with the tanks. Tried Stardusts on the kGos. GREAT! The Stardust vender threw in 3 samples of liquids and to my amazement, I LOVED 'em! (I had given up trying "tobacco" flavors two years ago. Couldn't find anything I liked. Stuck with Tasty Vapor's wonderful Cafe Machiatto as my only vape.) Now, suddenly, I had three great new eliquids that I immediately reordered.
Kept reading about the Darwin and Provari, and other mods, on ECF. Watching YouTubes on 'em. I learned all their advantages. Settled on the Provari V2. It arrived three weeks ago -- and vaping is finally everything I hoped for and wanted it to be when I first started: consistent, reliable, flavorful, convenient -- and customizable!
No matter what device (carto, tank, Stardust, etc.) or flavor I put on the Provari, I can immediately check its oHm resistance, multiply that by 2.5 volts (somebody with tech knowledge on ECF suggested that simple trick) to know its "high" safe voltage, instantly adjust the Provari . . . and happily vape away with NO loss of vapor or flavor. EVER.
The kGos got me to the Provari in about six weeks. I still use the kGos when I leave the house (but really only for social occasions where I want to look / vape inconspicuously and not attract the attention the Provari attracts). I like the kGos and Provari in the black satin finish.
Is the Provari worth it? Are you kidding? I was a lifelong two packs a day (2PDA) smoker and loved smoking. People congratulate me on having stopped smoking. I tell 'em, honestly, I just feel like I've switched brands.
But the truth is that I MUCH prefer vaping to smoking. Same satisfaction, but none of the 4000 chemicals and by-products from combustion. None of the smell in my house, on clothes, on me. None of the burns on clothing, carpets, car seats. None of the ashes everywhere.
And none of the expense. Did I mention I've saved over $10K in under three years, vaping? (All costs considered, I spend around $1.50 a day vaping, for the same satisfaction--and none of the negatives--I once got from 2 PDA. Do the math.)
I've found five flavors I truly love (I vape at 24-26 mg, and sometimes 36mg). Using the Provari has immediately let me know what systems and resistances I prefer. No more wondering if this juice might be better in that device on a different battery, etc. So my hardware is effectively (and efficiently) narrowed down to (in order) tanks with 2.0 or 3.0 single-coil carts, or Stardusts at the same resistance, or Kanger or larger eGo cartomizers. All with simple black cheap drip tips (the eGo comes with its own tip).
BTW, when I started vaping nearly three years ago, I IMMEDIATELY felt better. No more coughs. No more "death rattles" at night when I lie down to sleep. No more shortness of breath. I smoked for over 45 years. Turns out I have some COPD, which I only discovered last fall, getting a checkup. But I feel great.
Vaping gives me ALL the pleasures of smoking (the digital manipulation, the oral stimulation, the appearance of clouds of "smoke", the nicotine satisfaction) and much more. Vaping is so customizable that for some it becomes a hobby. I'm not there, but I've tried every juice I wanted to try (still read about new ones--new to me--on ECF), on every device I wanted to try.
Have to say, the Provari makes all the difference. And it works. It just works. Like iPhones and iPods and iPads and Apple products. It's beautifully designed, clean and simple, and works out of the box. Delivers consistent voltage from first vape to last. Blinks when it's time to charge the battery. Catches bad cartos or improper voltages (E1 error or OP error). Allows me to vary the voltage for best taste and hit, depending on what I'm vaping. And looks good doing it.
As you can tell from my avatar, I am a man for whom good looks and sophisticated tastes are of stellar importance.
Enjoy your kGos. Move on to Provari if you feel like it. And enjoy! This time, I have a feeling, you will never look back.
Happy Fathers Day!
P.S.
Did I mention I've saved over $10,000 . . . ?
