Will a 2ohm DCC work ok at 3.7V?

Ok so my original plan was to try these 510, 2.0 and 2.5 res cartos with my silver bullet at 6V. After learning that it might not be safe to stack these 3V tenergy rcr123 batteries in the silver bullet, I decided to just try this thing at 3.7 volts. Will a 2.0 ohm dual coil be too strong for 3.7 volts? By the way I plan to put the carto in a j-tank. Thanks.

Other specs:

-using 60PG/40VG juice
-a 3.7V ultrafire 18650 battery

The 2.0 ohm will have a hard time getting hot enough to produce a good amount of vapor.

I own two Roughstacks, and have been vaping with the tenergy stack setup for 2 years. 2ohm duals work fantastic at 6v.

This is my choice. I believe I have a better chance of hitting the lottery, before I'd have a catastrophic event happen. (Except for hurricanes :D).

Yeah this is exactly what I wanted to do, I'm paranoid though since other ppl have warned me. I just don't understand the risks. I've heard that my unit could become a pipe bomb and blow my face off, or seep poison flesh melting gas. I really don't get the whole batteries thing

2 ohm dual coil carto will be fine @ 3.7v, you can even try lower ohm if you want a warmer vape; although I've recently switched to the single coils in all of my tanks. I'm getting moderately more battery life with arguably better vapor production and flavor with these. Dual coils were a nice idea, I just haven't seen the benefit, plus they drain batteries faster.

I recommend you not stack batteries, although I did try it myself for a very short time. This can happen:

Recommend that you either watch a couple You Tube videos on the proper filling of a carto tank, or read over the threads in the "tanks" section, or better yet do both. Most people's difficulties in using carto tanks is from user error or lack of knowledge.

If your cartomizers are not pre-punched, you will need to decide how to make the hole(s) into the carto to allow the tank's juice get to the heating coils. Some people use a saddle valve tool, most people use a carto punch tool available at most of the online vendors, or you can make a slotted hole with a dremmel tool and cutting wheel if you already have that. There are how-to videos on this topic on You Tube and advice in the tanks forum at this website.

Should you decide you like using a tank, I'd then recommend that you get a tank tool accessory such as the Slap Yo Moma tool from Big Daddy Vapors. The tool makes filling the tank with juice easier and actually prolongs the life of the o-rings that hold your tank together w/o leaking.

Exactly man. I heard of people using the wrong batteries from Radio Shack. That is just asking for trouble IMO.

For 3.7v i would go with 1.5 ohm dcc.

I wouldn't.

I'd use a 1.7ohm SmokTech or 2.0ohm Boge SINGLE coil. Why try to fit a square peg in a round hole?

Why do people insist on using dual coils? Nobody has EVER been able to explain to me the advantage of dual coil cartos over single coil. I understand that on higher voltages, you've got 2 coils so you should get more vapor. But I get plenty of vapor using single coils, so I just don't get it.

Yes, a 2.0 ohm DCC will work with regulated 3.7V but will be 'effing weak compared to a decent 2.0 ohm single coil carto.
When did regulated come into the picture? He's got an SB.

Or a Smok Tech single coil 1.7 ohm or 2.0 ohm LR XL. Holds a lot more e-liquid (1.8 ml) than than the Boge single coil LR XLs and doesn't taste like bacon.
Why should that matter?

Did you read the original post?

By the way I plan to put the carto in a j-tank.

Sure, quality of cartos matters.

Yes, a regulated 3.7V device works differently from a non-regulated mechanical mod, like a Silver Bullet. The vapor quality of the SB will change as the battery voltage falls. That won't happen to nearly the same degree with a voltage regulated APV. The Silver Bullet shows performance drop as battery voltage falls unless it is equipped with a third-party voltatge regulator.
