Simple detailed question, simple answer?

Good day

2 months ago i purchaced a silver bullet mod, the altsmoke 18650 3100mAh batterie and a jonboy usmc lavatank in stainless with what was listed as boge 510 2ohm cartos to put in it. i have also purchased some 2 ohm cartos from ikenvape. now for a while everything has been wonderful but now it seems like 5 cartos in a row have a burnt taste and unless i keep them topped off to the point of flooding i get the burnt taste. also i've been punching my cartos for the jonboy tank and some just dont work right off the bat or within a few days dont draw and i have to suck really hard to get a half a vape...

Am i doing something wrong or do i just have the worst luck with the cartos im buying... and is 3.7 volts even worth vaping at i cant seem to find a kick for my silver bullet and 6v seems to much... should i go with different cartos

I'm using a Megalodon which is basically the same as the Bolt. Recently there have been QC issues with Boge and Smok Tech cartos. I have a bunch of the older Smok Tech 1.7 XL cartos and they work great but am not recommending cartos until they get the QC issues resolved.

Generally the Smok Tech aka The Resurrector cartos are preferred by us users of the 3.7 volt PV.


Edit: Using a ST carto in tank before beginning to get tight draw they last:
dark juice= 1 week
light juice= 2 weeks.

What juice are you vaping? Sometimes there are some that just taste burnt at lower ohms, or higher voltages. But yes, Boge has had some QC issues lately...my beloved 2 ohm carts are doing the same thing with the same juice that I've been vaping for over a year.

i been using copper creek house blend, which tastes fine. i've just been having issues here and there when i put on a new carto or when i change the carto in the tank. which i've been attributing to QC but wanted to make sure... i just bounced a DOA carto in the trashcan as i type this.... if i get a few more resposes like these i'll just have to look at other products.

Also what PG/ VG ratio is your juice? What size is your punched carto hole?

I just got back into vaping after an unfortunate fall back into smoking again. I ordered a new Riva kit with some smoke tech LR cartos, and they were killing my juice which is a 70/30 pg/vg blend.

I ordered some Boges at 2 ohms and so far I am having the same issues. It could be that its a minty juice and my cartos are too low, but I haven't had any issues with this juice on lower ohms in the past. I will see what happens when my Nova tank gets here as far as flavor goes, could be my cartos or a bad batch of liquid.

When I use LR cartos I vape at my lowest level, 2.9 or 3.0 on Provari and 3.2 on egos. I have also had issues with Boge and Smokteck cartos, I got some Kangers I am trying now, they are listed at LR but are reading at 1.5 on the provari, so I have to vape at 2.9. Some of these cartos read much lower than they are listed as, so could be why they are burning or they are just bad ones. I had to toss quite a few Boges myself, as well as Smoktecks. Very frustrating! brnk

Update: ok just got off work and punched a fresh boge 2ohm decided since i've had a few minimal floodind issues to punch 1 hole instead of 2 this time, filled up the carto put it in my johnboy filled the tank. boom perfect vape great flavor on my 60pg40vg 18mg copper creek house blend. a little dry because i may have underfilled the carto before i filled the tank so im gonna let it sit for a bit. i use a bullet peircing valve to punch with because it was free from work and its very sturdy and precise. its an hvac service valve and punches a perfect hole every time without bowing or bending the cartos shape.
