I've been using disposable clearomizers since I started vaping, with an 808 kit, and that's been working fine for me, but I came across a super cheap deal recently for a Kanger Evod starter kit, so I bought one. I paid about $14, so it was a no brainer.

The tanks have these disposable coils, but the tanks seem like that they can be re-used forever, as long as they don't crack or fall on the ground and break, is that correct?

I saw that they sell a glass tank for it also, so I think that I'm going to pick one of those up, and I'll be able to vape on any juice that I please, without the fear of the tank cracking, and I'm assuming that that tank will last for a very long time.

So far I'm pretty happy with the Kanger Evod, and I like the vape from it.
I've tried many tanks, including the Evod, Evod 2, Evod Glass, T3D, and they are all less than $7. I like the Evod 2 and Evod Glass much more than the others. The Evod 2 takes two kinds of coils, whereas the Evod only takes the old style Kanger coils that don't last as long. I've found the Kanger dual enclosed coils work much better, and a 5 pack of them is only $2 more than the single coils. I prefer the Evod Glass, though, as it's easier to fill and holds more ejuice, plus just has a better taste.
I buy these tanks for my husband, and he also prefers the Evod Glass. The plastic tanks don't last near as long...
Before I switched to the Kanger Subtank, which is my favorite tank of all time, I happily vaped with an Aerotank Mini. I've had my Aerotank Mini for over a year and it still works just like a new tank. I never cared for the larger Aerotank; the mini vapes circles around it.
If you want a tank that will last, the solid stainless steel and glass tanks ( like aerotanks) are the way to go. All you eventually have to change are the rubber bands, but extras are included. The mini Aerotank even comes with a stainless steel tank, that's interchangeable with the glass tank, an air control valve, and 2 extra coils.

Thanks for the reply. I do definitely plan on getting a glass tank soon.

My daughter and I really enjoy our Evods with either a Protank 2 Mini or Evod Glass tanks. We manage to use the Evod Glass with the same Kanger single coils as the original Evod or Protank 2 Mini by putting the Evod Glass base on the side and using a Protank 2 Mini base to hold the Kanger single coils. We have been using Evods for a little over a year now, and are quite happy with the flavor and vapor that we get from them.

The Kanger single coils are very versatile. You can just dispose of them if you don't want to be bothered; you can clean them and get extra use out of them; you can rewick them; you can recoil and rewick them to prolong their life. I usually manage to get 2-3 extra uses out of them by cleaning them. I have quite a few that I am hoping to rewick with cotton, if I can get the technique down, to save money and to save the water that I use to rinse them after cleaning (with the drought here in California, I hate to use water for coils).

Here is a video on recoiling and rewicking the evod style coils. I recoil/rewick my evod single coils pretty much using this procedure.

They last a long time for sure. I'd recommend looking into a glass one, even if it's just a protank 1. Before I got all subtank on everyone, I was using like every color protank 1 for different flavors. I got them for $4 a piece and they did the trick at the time. Glass is a game changer from those crappy plastic tanks. Basically if you're happy with single coil still, at least go glass.

Where do you get them for $4?

No problem. Oh yeah the coils that come with these are horrible. Ditch then and use the kanger ones

yeah the ones that came in the Evod clones I got from them sucked as well. I just rebuild all of them with Kanthal and cotton, works great. their Value brand replacement coils are not bad though seem as good as the Kanger ones. But I prefer cotton to silica.

Just ordered 4 of those protanks from Goodejuice. Now to make up some lemon and orange types of juice :)

I've been looking into the Evod Glass tank, but I noticed that it comes at much lower Ohms than the regular Evod tank that I'm using, and I also read a few places that the Evod Glass tank works better on variable batteries and batteries that are more powerful than a regular Evod battery, which is what I use.

The coils that came with my Evod starter kit are 2.5 ohms, and I noticed that for the Evod Glass tank, it comes with a coil that's 1.5 ohms.

Is it still a single coil? If so any of the single evod coils will work in them. I got some value evod 2.2 coils from goodejuice they are just as good as the Kanger ones and 3.95/5 as I recall.
