Will a tactile switch be okay on an unregulated MOSFET box mod?

Tactile switches have really low ampere ratings so I was wondering if it would be safe, even with a MOSFET installed properly? I know the MOSFET will take the current away from the switch, but I am unsure if it would take away enough current for it to be safe. I'm know electronics basics but I'm not an expert. Help is greatly appreciated!

The mosfet is regulation?????? Infact that is the purpose of such regulation. Allows the uses of switches and stuff that would otherwise be way under minimum spec for our purposes.

depends on the MOSFET gate current needs.... do a bit of research on the gate current and see if the tactile is compatible...

Here's a screenshot of the MOSFET and the switch is rated at 50mA/16V DC.

Just looking for a simple yes/no answer and any advice if needed.

That mosfet is commonly used in many mods. I recently used that same one in a box mod I built. I used a tact switch that I salvaged from a CDROM drive. The tact switch is used as a logic switch so the amperage going through it is very low.

okay.... the data sheet sez 2.4 v in the uA range...its good for the switch
