Will a wet (with water) coil cause flooding?

Hi,

Just trying to diagnose my AeroTank mega's flooding issues. I think I've narrowed it down to possibly wet or damp (with water) coils causing my issues but wanted to check if it's possible that if when I wash my tank and then rinse out the coil but don't let it dry 100% that it could then be causing the flooding issues that I'm having, would that be the likely culprit?

Usually, I wash everything, and then take a previously rinsed coil (could be sitting on the drying rack for a day or 3 days, I don't really keep track of which has been there for how long) and install that. Sometimes it works fine, other times the coil gets terribly flooded and nothing short of grabbing a new coil out of the unopened box does the trick to make it work properly. So, it's got me thinking that maybe the coils that I'm reusing that I've previously rinsed are not 100% dry and this is somehow causing the flooding issues that I'm experiencing which ultimately causes the tank/coil to spit warm/hot eliquid up the air pipe into my mouth.

Thanks

I haven't had any flooding issues but I can say that my Aerotank (mini) does spit a hot drop of juice at me every now and again. It feels almost like getting a mild shock, but I put up with it since I really enjoy the way the tank vapes. Still can't hold a candle to my Kayfun, but when I want a smaller form factor the mini is my go to tank.

Yes I reuse wet or damp coils on my ProTank 2 also with no problems. The only tank that I have problems with is the AeroTank Mega which I believe uses a different coil than my Protank 2. Kind of why I'm wondering about this as if it works ok using a wet coil with the protank 2 and protank 2 mini then why would it be the cause of my issue with the Aerotank mega is what I'm left wondering.

Thanks for the reply.
