Right! I think the last time I had a cold settle into my chest was right before I switched to vaping. I've had a few colds since then, but all have been normal colds. I don't have to dread the sniffles anymore.

In the 1940's they did research with propylene glycol vapor using it as a germicide. They put rats in a closed box with influenza virus and all the rats died. Then they put the same amount of virus and X parts per million (don't remember the amount) of propylene glycol vapor in the tank. When they put the rats in they all lived because the influenza was killed off. I'll look and see if I can find the article I found that in.

This has excerpts from the original article which was in TIME magazine in 1942. They also tested monkeys living in an environment of glycol vapor with no ill effects.
