I think there will always be a market for convenience. More so, with the broadening of the vaping community.

Twisting coils for a Reo/dripper/RTA might be the end state for many peeps, but the set-it-and-forget-it crowd will always be there in numbers.

Even very experienced vapers like our own Batitude find carto setups to be the sweet spot, so it's not going to just come down to experience, either.

I think you're right, and I don't see ciga-likes going away either, for the same reasons. Any product that remains successful has so many levels of quality and convenience to appeal to as many people as possible.

You mention how good an REO is for dripping: but not everyone’s going to want to drip so no, whilst clearos and cartos may one day become obsolete I don't think dripping is the method to end clearos and cartos.

New things come along and improve the old one, like a faster computer is obviously better than an old one that’s slower that’s a no brainer.

But different vaping methods appeal to different people, I’ve not done dripping in a while and whilst it may give the purest vape (can’t say myself), I’m not keen on anything but a tank.

My tank does produce a nice flavour that I personally am satisfied with, and I’d rather just fill up my tank and vape as opposed to drip.

If you are not sub-ohming on a mech at very high wattage, then you really are not seeing any benefit to dripping over any other method. At least from my own experience. Then when you factor in the inconvenience, I highly doubt that there will ever be a time when dripping is done by even a majority of vapers.

The vast majority of vapers- 85% use cigalikes...

IMO it's not that high. Judging by company market share, I think it's more like 50% with the next smaller proportion going to eGo type devices using clearos. I don't know the non-disposable minis, so I have no idea where they fit in.

It was in multiple threads in the media section. 3 companies comprise 85% of the market for fake cigarettes- all of whom make cigalikes. One was BLU, the other NJOY and lastly V2.

“One of the great misconceptions about e-cigs is it’s a fragmented industry,” Martin told me. “While there are 300 companies, the top three of them have 85% of the market.”
