Will I ever find a juice I really like?

And don't be afraid to mix things either. I'll mix things like grasshopper (a minty type flavor) with tobacco flavor and caramel and watermelon. Sure it may sound gross but I like it and in the end that's really all that matters.

I often refer to this as DIY baby step 0.5 ;) I've yet to really do DIY but I mix premade juices all the time. Usually just a tank at a time so 2-3 ml. I put in half of X and half of Y most of the time. That way if you don't like the combination you aren't wasting a whole bottle of liquid.

I second what Fizzpop said. vaping outside of your comfort zone can bring many new surprises. I make it a point now to try and pick up something that I normally wouldn't try when ordering juices online. You may be pleasantly surprised. I have been. I have a few that I like from several vendors but I prefer to keep exploring. It makes it fun for me and keeps me from ever thinking about an analog.

Yeah, this snake oil (sorry to keep referring to it but it's the only juice I have so far that I like) wouldn't have been something I'd have chosen if it weren't for people saying I have to try it. And they were right. Even since beginning this thread my opinion has improved on it that I'm currently about to order 30ml more of it. So I agree, I will probably order some things outside my comfort zone.

Thanks! I bookmarked it, it sounds amazing and they say it is like the real thing with even the tartness of the rhubarb!

I'll let you know what it's like, should have it about Tuesday. :)

If you are looking for an all-day-vape good luck to you as I don't think it's going to happen...at least I'm not optimistic for myself. The same as food...I don't think I could eat one thing for every single meal 7 days a week...same with vaping I like to change my flavors 3 times a day or so.

Mohamed, well, snake oil has actually been an ADV for me, it's all I've vaped for the last two weeks or so. Even if I find something better that can give me another ADV, I'd still have snake oil as my backup go to ADV if I needed it. As long as I have a single tasty juice that appeals to my tastebuds with nothing nasty, I'm happy to stick with it in the same way I stuck with one particular rolling tobacco for many years (before vaping) and nothing else at all. I still want to try lots of different juices though to find the wow factor if that's possible, and broaden my vaping experiences.

When you say you mix juices, do you literally just pour them together into an empty bottle without the hassle of getting base nicotine and base VG, etc?

You should like some of those you have ordered from the alchemist, good good juice :) I ordered the sample pack awhile ago, got
coconut ice (sweet but a fav)
Banana & cream (not to my taste, this was a out of comfort zone flop)!
coconut caramel with hazelnut honey (quite nice, strong hazelnut flavour)
pina colada (nice, strong pineapple flavour)
Aunt flo's pear drop (yummy in small doses * tank cracker, must use pyrex*)

Been back for more coconut ice!
bonking on the beach (yummy)
Coffee with cream and sugar (OH has lots of coffee type juice, this is the only one I like).

Just been on steamgunk and ordered more captain custard, OH got more tennessee tabacco and I got twilight to try...come on postie, I don't care if it's 9.30 on a sunday night..hurry up :)

I do this too, don't even bother with an empty bottle, fill an evod 2/3 one flavour 1/3 another flavour. Manly adding mint/monthol, good shake n vape! currently using 2/3 mint blast mixed with 1/3 fizzy trifle...only flavour I've touched today, rinning low and hoping the next fill turns out just the same :-/

Hey zeroclue, Thanks for the tip on mixing ratios, I'll try that with some juices.

I read great things about that coconut caramel & hazelnut honey and ordered it in my sample pack, but it's not really the one I'm most looking forward to. I don't actually have particularly high hopes for it, but I'll see. Might be pleasantly surprised.

How would you describe the bananas and cream? Overly sweet, not sweet enough, do you think a good banana and custard would be nicer? I was torn between bananas and cream and the banana mivvi from alchemists cupboard but ended up not ordering either.

It's funny you mention fizzy trifle. I've just been checking out Triphammer juices, fizzy trifle and Tigers Stripe. Everyone says they're delicious and quite complex, tiger stripes being similar but less sweet. How do you like the fizzy trifle? I've just this minute put together an order of 5 x 1ml samplers of triphammer juices at 60p each from smoke rainbow. Fizzy Trifle, Tigers Stripe, Christmas Pudding, Tripperblocker Glory and Puros Santa Clara tobacco. Will probably wait till I've received my alchemists cupboard juices first before ordering those.

Yeah by DIY baby step 0.5 I literally mean you take one or more juices that are pre made from a vendor and I mix them into a tank. Most of everything I buy is 50 pg 50 vg. I got some nic left at 24 mg/ml and some at 18 mg/ml. If you were to mix those equally you would get 50/50 pg/vg ratio with a 21 mg per ml concentration. Getting different concentrations really isn't my goal but I use that to step down gradually.

They way I use it most often is say I bought a 30ml of Marlboro light formula. I don't really like it and don't want to vape that on it's own. So I mix it with something I do like. For starters put half of X and half of Y into a 2 ml tank. Fill the tank like normal but just use two juices. Just turn it upside down a few times to get them flowing together and then vape.

I'm not a big menthol fan but I bought a grasshopper juice that is basically a mint / menthol type flavor. I'll fill a quarter of a tank with it and fill the rest up with with vanilla, caramel, tobacco, watermelon, red bull, coffe, mocha, etc flavor. It adds a minty/menthol flavor to anything. I guess my point is you may find flavors/vendors that you like...but don't be afraid to spice things up a notch and mix something else in.

Back to food...I really should eat something by now...but say you get a bowl of soup that you really like. Some people like to add some pepper, some people like to add some salt, some people may like to add some onion or garlic powder. By DIY baby step 0.5 your just adding something you like to make it suit your taste needs...your not creating the soup from scratch. Sorry best way I can explain it.

FYI True DIY is buying the nic, pg, vg, flavors and mixing them yourself. DIY babystep 0.5 is taking premade juices from vendors and mixing them to your liking. I generally don't mix bottles I usually just do a tank at a time. I.E don't mix half of one juice and half of another in a 30 ml bottle...you may not like it. I just put 25-50% of one flavor into a tank and 25-50% of another flavor into the same tank.

25% Caramel, 25% Vanallia, 25% tobacco, 25% coffee/mocha is something I do quite often. All 4 of the juices are from vendors and made at 50/50 pg/vg ratio at some X nic level. I just mix all 4 of them as it tastes good to me. Also some of the tobacco flavors I thought I would like but now have found that I don't I'll mix them half with watermelon, redbulll, grasshopper, etc to make them "tolerable".

It's not really DIY per se but it's mixing of premade liquids. View it as mixing 7-up and pineapple for a punch that you serve. Your not making the 7-up or the pineapple juice individually you are just mixing them to make a punch. Sorry best way I can describe by what I mean by DIY baby step 0.5 ;)

have you tried a honeydew yet? i highly suggest you do!

honeydew is a flavor that mixes great with other fruit flavors, its light enough that its wonderful at all different mg's as well as pg/vg content, dont be afraid to try a 100%vg honeydew if you can find one. try a few different honeydews, theyre a little different. if you can find it, try uncle junks honey do, it really is incredible. im pretty picky myself, and thats my adv.

If I was in the UK I would def order from MS Lord and Co, excellent reviews on All the Juices website. Aside from that I agree with the camp that says 'find one you can tolerate and be glad for that.' I did the flavor chase and spent $900 in three months trying one after the other of these juices that others spoke so highly of. I have AIV (3-4), I have Ahlusions (2-3) I have Nicoticket and Goodlife, Fuzion and Velvet Cloud and Nirvana and even Cyclops ($22 a bottle) I have a bunch of cheaper ones and out of 100+ juices I LOVE maybe 10. I like another 15. If I had to I could vape another 15. The rest are a waste of my money (hated Halo). I am done spending money on anything that is not a deal of the week.

I agree and disagree with you there...I know I'm being a politician and playing both sides of the fence ;) I've paid as high as $1 per ml and as low as 10 cents per ml. I go through about 4-5ml per day so thats 40 or 50 cents a day as opposed to $4 or $5 per day.
OK I think you've kind of over simplified things here to make your point. I see what you're saying; but other than 5 pawns every other major juice maker I've ever seen sells things in bulk. My ADV from GLV is 35 cents a ml ( in a 100 ml bottle ) and they are a "premium" juice maker. So IDK where you're getting this 1 dollar a ml number from. Only 5 pawns does that as far as I know and they only have 5 year round flavors. Once you find a juice you like, buying it in bulk is cheap, even from "premium" juice makers.
On top of that, if you're vaping 4-5 mls per day, then aren't you also using too low of a mg of nicotine? I mean, I understand if you just want to vape all day long that you would want a low mg of nicotine; but I vape 18mgs & 12/11 mgs of nicotine ( depending on the vendor ) and I only vape about 1 and 1/2 ml a day. If you want to vape all day then isn't that like saying: "I want to drink alcohol all day; so instead of buying a stronger "premium" alcohol I like, I'll buy weak really cheap alcohol." ??? IMO I say buy something you like and stick with it and just vape when you want to instead of vaping something you don't think is as good all day long just because you want to vape all day long.
I also notice you conveniently left off the next sentence of the quote of mine you chose.
If I were you I'd try a more famous name of juice maker.
Whereas you go on to list
Pehela Famous 5 Layer from Mom and Pop's Vapor shop is one that I use a lot that I consider gourmet.
I'm not trying to be rude; it just seemed like you bent a few facts to fit your perspective. Mom and Pops Vapor shop is pretty famous. This is exactly the type of thing I was recommending. Samples can be expensive; but once you find flavors you like you can just vape what you like for the cheap by buying in bulk.

If you are looking for an all-day-vape good luck to you as I don't think it's going to happen...at least I'm not optimistic for myself. The same as food...I don't think I could eat one thing for every single meal 7 days a week...same with vaping I like to change my flavors 3 times a day or so.
Apparently we just disagree about what ADV means. I don't know anyone that vapes just one juice. When I say ADV I just mean: 'If you washed up on an island with a big box of charged batteries, coils and tanks, if you could only have a liter of one juice what would it be?' Then that's your ADV. I still try juices and am almost up to 50. I've only re-ordered three in bulk. I might re-order a 4th when I finish the small bottle I got for a sample.

Don't buy big bottles at first. Stick with 3, 6, 10, or 15ml bottles until you figure out what you like. And don't be afraid to mix things either. I'll mix things like grasshopper (a minty type flavor) with tobacco flavor and caramel and watermelon. Sure it may sound gross but I like it and in the end that's really all that matters.
OK I definitely agree with this.

I did the flavor chase and spent $900 in three months trying one after the other of these juices that others spoke so highly of.

Overall I think you offered some really good advice. I am curious about how you spent that much money though. I mean ... just how did that happen? I only ask because I've got 47 samples ( including extras that came with sample orders or small orders of 15 mls because company x doesn't sell samples) for 220$s including shipping and tax.

DIY baby step (frankenvape) is a great way to go at first. However, I have found that the only solid way to satisfy an extremely picky palette (ahem, my wife's) is to step into the world of true DIY (as explained above). That way you can tailor the taste to YOUR tongue. It takes some practice, but it is so worth it. I mix up a 30 ml bottle of juice that lasts almost a week for around $1.25 including the flavor. Yahoo!

We have had real success with high quality flavors (Flavor Apprentice, Tom Katz Vapors). Give it a go and please let us know how the journey is coming along.

I know you said you'd rather not but out of the UK, but if you're ever willing to change that, give Killer Juice a try - they have rock bottom prices and $11 international shipping, plus new customers get one free bottle of juice. They have great stuff, could be worth the wait.

Thanks for the replies guys. some nice juice vendor suggestions. Well, before I go buying anything else, I'll first have to see how things go, as my first ever premium quality liquids (aside from Snake Oil) will be delivered (probably tomorrow) which include a decent cross section of the usual flavour types that most people vape.

That will at least give me a very good idea if I actually enjoy vaping desserts or not (certainly no question about eating them, I'm a dessert freak! :D), with flavours such as chocolate, custard, lemon, rhubard, caramel, honey, coconut, peanut butter. There will also be egg custard tart (has been steeped) which lots of people say is great and others say has too much nutmeg.

The others can't be vaped for about a week or two before steeping. I've also just ordered 30ml of snake oil (pre-steeped) as I know I can vape that all day every day and should get it Thursday. I'm on my last 0.5ml of it and so will have to vape my undesirable non premium juices for a couple of days or so.

One thing I've learned (from an out of my comfort zone experience with Snake Oil), is that if none of those dessert flavours are to my liking, I know now that aniseed, menthol (and probably licorice and mint) flavours do suit my palate, which is surprising considering I never bothered with menthol cigarettes as a smoker, just regular rolling tobacco. So those will be my backup plan if sweet juices don't work. But, I REALLY, REALLY want desserts to work for me, especially custard.
