1000 mah battery, carto, tank, cone and Ming drip tip......... No.
figured it would have happened sooner, but it finally happened yesterday. Off the dock it went. :( Luckally dove it and saved all but the battery and carto. :). Don't think a soaked carto works very well, nor a soaked battery. Anyone else have a will it float story to tell?

If you're really paranoid about your PV, they sell plastic beach type bags to put your phones and electronics in. Search Amazon for Aloksak Bags or Dry Bags and you'll find them in a variety of styles and prices.

Throw something that floats in the bag or attach a floaty key ring to it and your biggest worry will be catching up to it if your drop it in the water!

Lanyard works if you have a shirt on. :). Otherwise you end up with a really weird tan line around the neck. Been there done that. :D .

What about dipping the battery in liquid latex? That way the only loss would be the carto? Might work?

I use a cheap and light weight SD key ring battery with a carto when i go out fishing and just have it on a string around my neck. No worries:)

:toast:cheers!

It happened to me once; on a plane... But with a drip tip... I lost it in the toilet. And furthermore it was my favourite by then and the only one I had on me...

Tough decision... I ended up "tailpiping" the rest of the flight, and unfortunately the only atties on me were 510s which are not tailpipe-friendly at all...

=)

Yeah I lost one in the toilet.

I rinsed it off and dried it out and it still worked!

I had this happen to one of my favourite pens. Dropped out of my shirt pocket when I reached out to flush.
Yeah, I went fishing for it.
Two things happened as a result of that.
1) That vintage Parker Duofold was not my favourite pen anymore, for some reason.
2) I decided that I needed more fibre in my diet.

There's a chance the battery might work as people said, if you haven't chucked it. You could give it a 99%+ rubbing alcohol rinse and put it in rice for days to dry it out and hope for the best. People wash cartos too, so if it's worth the effort to you - it'll be fine if you clean and dry it out.

So far I haven't dropped any PV in water, they haven't fallen out of my pocket on cement so far either. That always happens with every phone I own, so the cement drop and some scuffs is inevitable.

At least it isnt a "will it flush story"...diving in for that one would be out of the question:ohmy:
